'Summer House on the Lake' on the West Side at Disney Springs looks much closer to opening, with its marquee and windows now being installed.

The restaurant, operated by Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, is currently in the process of hiring staff, with plans to open in November 2023.

The Disney Springs location will be the third 'Summer House on the Lake' location, joining those in Chicago and North Bethesda, and is being built on the former Bongo's restaurant site.

The California-inspired menu will feature simple ingredients sourced from local grower partnerships and sustainable products. Rosé is poured all day off the signature Rosé Cart, alongside an extensive wine and handcrafted cocktail list. Menu items include California-inspired dishes, salads, sandwiches pastas, and pizza.

Their Vegas location opened today.

OK. That's high, even for Disney. That's closer to current Vegas. I'll be interested to see reception here.

Those roof railings are temporary, right?

I pay $15 - $20 for a gourmet salad and water near my work so Disney prices are not that higher.

In every iteration this part of property has always been a glorified lifestyle center.

I'm pleasantly impressed - just seeing the exterior photos and I can imagine feeling like I'm taken out of Disney/Disney Springs. Seems like a place we'd definitely enjoy, especially for brunch or lunch, and then for an evening drink and snacks. Excited to see how well it incorporates views of the lake.

It's actually nicer than I expected. Lettuce Entertain You restaurants are usually pretty good (at least the ones I've been to in Chicago). Usually feel a bit overpriced, but high end. This looks to be right in line with that. While I wish it had a bit more personality, it's not a bad addition by any means. It does seem like the "better" version of Wolfgang in many ways - so I'll be interested to see if there is any impact there.

Will this open in 2023 ? Wow, it looks really fancy and beautiful. It looks too pricey even at theme park prices for me. We will be walking by. I do miss the takeout window at Bongos. It was a never miss for us.

I'm going to WDW in mid-December. If I didn't already have a brunch ADR at Art Smith's, I would try theirs. Well, I can still grab a cookie and beverage from the cookie bar.
