HarmonioUS barge construction

These aerial photos show the construction of the new hardware that will power the upcoming Epcot nighttime show HarmonioUS.

Opening in 2020 and billed as the largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Disney park. It will celebrate how the music of Disney inspires people the world over, carrying them away harmoniously on a stream of familiar Disney tunes reinterpreted by a diverse group of artists from around the globe.

According to Disney, “HarmonioUS” will feature massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers and more.

Pictured here is the fireworks marina next to the China pavilion.  The launch barges for Epcot Forever can be seen in the water, and on land isthe construction of the 3 of the barges that will support HarmonioUS. The old Inferno barge from Reflections of Earth can also be seen, and it gives an idea of the size of the HarmonioUS barges - which looks to be significantly larger than anything we have seen before in the lagoon.

Doesn’t answer your question, but I just realized despite not speaking any other language other then English, I can understand “How Far I’ll Go” in the other language they are singing it in.

Kermit has joined the circus and is preparing to enter the Globe "Stargate of Death." 😆

I'm not even going to be going to Disney any time soon. I can't afford it. In fact I haven't been to Disney world in years. My point is that if you don't want to go, that's fine but it will not make a bit of difference to Disney. Frankly I think the same is true of voting in certain contexts but I don't really want to get into that.

It so weird that Epcot used to have a restaurant called "Stargate", now we've got an actual one. I wonder if Richard Dean Anderson or Kurt Russell will use it???

Unfortunately it will probably get great reviews for being a technical tour de force.

I'm actually excited for this show to be terrible and get poor reviews so that they remove these things.

Part two.

It hasn’t earned an internal nickname of “mistake on the lake” for its charming appearance and blending into the background.

This made me laugh out loud. Also the photo of the Kermit topiary really made me realize how bad these truly are.
