Construction walls are down at Summer House on the Lake, the latest table service restaurant opening at Walt Disney World in December 2023.

Guests can now get a first look at the new California-inspired restaurant located on the West Side at Disney Springs.

Summer House on the Lake boasts three bars, an airy, natural light-filled dining room centered around a lush tree reaching toward a skylight, and greenery throughout.

Cookie Bar

At the entrance of the restaurant, guests will find the Cookie Bar, offering a variety of oversized cookies, bars, and sweet specials. Flavors include Sea Salt Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake, Oatmeal Scotchie, Apple Oatmeal, Vegan Snickerdoodle, and rotating seasonal flavors.

The bar will offer a selection of coffee, wine, and beer on draft, as well as specialty cocktails such as the Tropical Dreams with vodka, Pamplemousse liqueur, and habanero honey, all available to enjoy at the restaurant or take to-go around Disney Springs. Guests can also purchase a bottle of the restaurant's own private-label wine, Summer House Rosé, to take home with them.

Rosé Cart

The Rosé Cart will provide more than six rosé varieties by the glass or bottle, including the special Summer House Rosé. This wine is noted for its delicate, floral taste with hints of cherries and watermelon. The beverage menu also includes spritzes, summer cocktails (with non-alcoholic options), fresh juices, and a California-sourced wine list.

Cali-Mex Weekend Brunch

Summer House on the Lake’s West Coast-inspired menu will feature favorites and signature items exclusive to Disney Springs. Brunch will be served Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm, including Mexican Hash Browns; Breakfast Pizza with applewood bacon, a sunny side up egg and parmesan cream; and Breakfast Tostadas. Fluffy pancakes and waffles, salads, and sandwiches will also be available, alongside a selection of other items from the lunch and dinner menus. Guests can also expect seasonal salads, artisan pizzas, and entrees like Herbed Chicken Paillard and local Grouper Fish ‘n’ Chips with malt vinegar fries and tartar sauce. An extensive kids' menu will be available all day.

I pay $15 - $20 for a gourmet salad and water near my work so Disney prices are not that higher.

In every iteration this part of property has always been a glorified lifestyle center.

I'm pleasantly impressed - just seeing the exterior photos and I can imagine feeling like I'm taken out of Disney/Disney Springs. Seems like a place we'd definitely enjoy, especially for brunch or lunch, and then for an evening drink and snacks. Excited to see how well it incorporates views of the lake.

It's actually nicer than I expected. Lettuce Entertain You restaurants are usually pretty good (at least the ones I've been to in Chicago). Usually feel a bit overpriced, but high end. This looks to be right in line with that. While I wish it had a bit more personality, it's not a bad addition by any means. It does seem like the "better" version of Wolfgang in many ways - so I'll be interested to see if there is any impact there.

Will this open in 2023 ? Wow, it looks really fancy and beautiful. It looks too pricey even at theme park prices for me. We will be walking by. I do miss the takeout window at Bongos. It was a never miss for us.

I'm going to WDW in mid-December. If I didn't already have a brunch ADR at Art Smith's, I would try theirs. Well, I can still grab a cookie and beverage from the cookie bar.

I am glad to see the construction finally wrapping up. Sure wish they had built something special, not just another "restaurant on the lake"...but something unique. This continues to become more like "any lifestyle center USA"...but at least finishing a construction project is a good thing....

Just sent Summer House an email about their renderings and how they need to get a copy of Disney's DEI to the renderer. The previous set of renders had the same issue.
