Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is going to Disneyland after leading Kansas City to Super Bowl LVII Victory last night.

Disney camera crews were on the field immediately after the big game in Arizona as confetti rained down and Mahomes shouted the most iconic words in sports: “I’M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!”

Mahomes joins a long list of NFL Hall of Famers and football megastars who have participated in Disney's long-standing Super Bowl tradition. The campaign started after Super Bowl XXI in 1987, when New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms was named the MVP and shouted the famous phrase.

Chiefs fans will get to see one of their favorite stars in a cavalcade through Disneyland park. The celebration parade route will run from “it’s a small world” all the way down to Main Street, U.S.A., at 1:30 p.m. PT on Monday.

Disney will be broken up by corporate raiders before that happens.

Wasn’t planning on a trip back yet so those winnings can be put towards something else wonderful. Won’t worry about the price of tickets now. Got plenty of time to save up and maybe Iger with his new found appreciation for the guests plight in affording trips will drop prices by then…… ( well we can dream can’t we? )

and you still can't buy a ticket to Disneyland on your winnings.

Thanks Patrick and the rest of the Chiefs…. I won $120 on football square and $20 from a bet with DS who chose the wrong team. Again it shows Dad knows best !

I hope they put some booties on that baby. It's cold out.

As stated it comes down to the geography of where the Super Bowl was being played, pretty standard. Been that way for as long as I can remember. From 2017-2021 all the Super Bowls were played in East Coast stadiums, hence why the parade was held at WDW. This is why it made it seem like it was "always" at WDW. Last year was the first year since 2016 that the game was played in a west coast stadium, last year being in Inglewood. So it was held at DL. because why would you have the team go to WDW for a game played in LA, doesn't make sense. And that continued this year with it being held in Arizona. And as stated probably next year with it being held in Vegas. Btw, in 2016 when it was at Levi's in the Bay Area it was done at DL too. Disney has known since the stadium was picked that they were going to do it at DL, which means CMs should have known too. Heck even the Disney Parks twitter announced it several days prior to the game:

i think next years SB is being played in vegas at the raiders home turf. i would think the parade will be at DL again as well

I thought this was common knowledge among big disney parks fans? 🤷‍♂️

You misunderstood🙄

drizgirlFeb 13, 2023

Wait, people travel to the MK expecting the parade to be there? Sounds like poor planning with the game being held on the west coast.

LilofanFeb 13, 2023

For the second year in a row DL hosting the parade. For many years regardless of where the Super Bowl was played MK hosted the the MVP down Main Street less than 24 hours after the SB win. Cast members know that fully well who have worked for a number of years and a number of fans travel to WDW just for the MVP parade.
