:joyfull: There is plenty to complain about these days, but this sign isn't one of them.

AurorafanJul 18, 2022

Good grief, y'all will complain about anything. lol

castlecake2.0Jul 17, 2022

Y’all are too much.

LittleBufordJul 16, 2022

I initially thought the roundel with “Main Street” written on it was painted/printed on a flat surface and shaded CGI-style. Having just now realised it’s actually in relief and not merely made to look 3D, I like what I’m seeing more.

eddie104Jul 16, 2022

I was just about to say the same thing but you beat me to it. “Tacky” is a word I commonly associate when people don’t care for Disney’s kitschy style theming. In my opinion it perfectly encapsulates the the Main Street vibe.

James AlucobondJul 16, 2022

Whenever they do a "less is more" approach, people get upset over the loss of kitsch and character. There's really no satisfying everyone with such things, though I will say that I'm generally baffled that there seems to be neither an on-staff calligrapher nor a font historian.

dreday3Jul 16, 2022

I like it. 🙃

Magicart87Jul 16, 2022

The top half of the sign is acceptable. The bottom half feels like an entirely different composition. Looks like the designer felt compelled to "fill the format" with anything and everything. It's tacky. It's busy and it sucks. Too many typefaces, superfluous scrollwork and ornamental candy additions that are less of an accent and more of an anchor flanking either side of the text in perfect boring symmetry. When is Disney going to get the "less is more" mantra where it matters. What a terribly bad sign design. Overkill.

SaucyBoyJul 16, 2022

U-G-L-Y with no alibi. Seriously, this looks like it should be tacked onto The Edison or, heck, even Toothsome over at UNI.

LittleBufordJul 16, 2022

Not great, but could be worse.

Disney AnalystJul 16, 2022

Copied from the other site… new updated signage.

ToTBellHopApr 07, 2022

6 months, 5 days to build, it would seem.

HauntedPirateApr 07, 2022

It would only cost you about $372,000 in "Special 50th Anniversary M&M's" to build it yourself. ;) It is impressive, though, that took a lot of time to create.

ToTBellHopApr 07, 2022

That candy castle is genuinely awesome.
