Looks like people are still wondering what happened to the party line phone

I want to know who saw the post and sprang into action so quick? Local leadership? Someone higher up? They obviously read the sites, just never saw something actioned so fast.

A major oversight… the sad thing for me is the people on the FB post from the other site lamenting cancel culture / wokeness. Sorry folks, caricatures of people used for companies logos, specifically by companies not run by the group or persons depicted on the logos, don’t pass the sniff test and need to go.

It really was an oversight that needed fixing. The company itself has already been in the process of rebranding.

So yesterday the other site shared a photo looking into the show kitchen, at the chocolate machines in there. These were from Savage Brod, so the machines had their logo on the front which is accompanied by an image of an indigenous. So anyway, that site pointed out that it seems odd amongst all the inclusivity… and well… today that logo is covered up.

Pffft… consumers would spend too much time looking at things and not enough time buying them if Disney did anything like that. Better to have a bland, modern, industrial-looking store so consumers can see the product and easily make buying decisions.

Remember when Disney used to be capable of retail magic? Now we just leave that to independent retailers. https://photos.citybeat.com/inside-hierophany-hedge-a-magical-supply-shop-in-covington/?slide=1&hierophonyandhedge_hb-41 yep, that’s a one off, independent retail shop in COVINGTON KENTUCKY!!!

They kinda sorta got the unique store thing in Baatu, although a lot of the shops/ stalls are still too interchangeable. Honestly, as much as I like SWL and Cars Land, Disney has yet to produce a land as fully immersive as the Potters. And man, DLs Marvel land is the biggest embarrassment since Food Rocks.

In their defense they never understood Potter either

My opinion is unchanged having now seen it in person. The place is much bigger, but calling it "themed" would be a generous statement. Went to Honeydukes a few days later and found it really odd that Disney can't grasp the appeal of a visually interesting candy store with unique merch.
