Remy's Ratatouille Adventure construction - March 2019

Here is our latest look at the France Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase where construction is continuing on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.

The ride building itself has been largely complete for some time, but work is now very much visible on creating the Paris cityscape in front of the ride building.

The ride, based on the popular attraction found at Disneyland Paris is still some way off from its Walt Disney World debut, with current estimates of a Spring 2020 opening.

Burbank’s just salty they can’t DLR going. Epcot‘s leadership is right though, as it stands from what I see Epcot has the lowest wait times out of the parks, if they get it in time by the Holidays it’s a no brainer for sure, especially with the raised restrictions to 75% on venues that could potentially help them on a long run. As a consumer, Epcot’s leadership is dead on though, because I for one have planned a two days trip to the park Magic Kingdom and DHS for sure. I am still deciding wether or not Epcot is worth it, but going back I cannot stress this enough the moment they tell us, if they do it will be open in time for the Holidays, instant ticket purchase for me. I’ve heard the rumors for sure, but if they want boosted attendance and more money I wouldn’t mind waiting 3-4 hours to ride, even if they did the virtual queue on Rat. My kids were watching this movie this weekend and they loved it. Heck re-reading Magic Feather’s comment I’m 3 day vacationer leaving Epcot off because, simply it would take 2 hours to do everything, If Rat opens up that would change it for me, I am so split on going to Universal with all the free time I would have.

Small random update but it appears the France attractions costume will remain the same for Rat but with the buttons changed out with gold Rémy logo buttons.

I’m very happy for you that you were able to make it.

Without going off topic too much, there’s a noticeable lack of guests in the week. Weekends are busier but not rammed. Four of the six hotels are closed. It’s a great experience for those who make it - albeit we have to quarantine for two weeks returning to the UK. We heard maybe a half dozen British accents so far.

Martin has said that training is an issue before. But also, you see @Magic Feather ’s post I quoted on this page? It sums it all up pretty well.

Tempted to take a trip to DLP, but increasingly feeling that I've missed my chance with coronavirus cases soaring where I live in the Netherlands and also in Paris. Do you get the sense that there are many tourists there these days? Particularly considering Spain is also going through a rough time right now, I'm finding it hard to imagine who would be there other than Parisians.

That makes sense as well. Wonder if they’ll open the gate and the crepe shop first or keep the whole area closed off until the ride is operational. Hopefully with this delay they can repaint the blue building lol.

Also about spacing out the official opening of new attractions for the marketing value of having a steady drip of new things opening instead of "wasting" it by opening everything at once during low-capacity COVID times.

You might be able to say but I wonder what would cause such a delay. It remains very close to being done but again we have no idea what the inside is like. I’d assume it’s about hiring and training.

We’ve felt very safe. Cast crack down on mask violations - and we’ve seen maybe a dozen in three days total. The ride seems very popular still although the parks aren’t that busy at all. It’s one party per ratmobile at the moment.
