Disney announced earlier today that Fantasmic! will return in 2022, alongside several other major entertainment offerings.

Not announced yet, is that Fantasmic! will be updated with an all-new sequence. We don't have specifics, but the new sequence will include live performers, new animation, stunts and special effects using characters that have never been in the show before. The Pocahontas sequence is likely to be replaced, but this is not yet officially confirmed.

Work has been underway on refurbishing almost all areas of the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, which includes new lighting system, new fountains, and a rebuild of Steamboat Mickey.

Fantasmic! is set to return in 2022, and although no dates are yet available, we expect to see its return in the first half of 2022.

It is just so strange to me that a big spring break week wouldn't be open later with a 2nd showing

At this time of the year if Hollywood Studios closes at 9pm 99% chance it’s only 1 showing. If it closes at 9:30 there will be 2 showings with 2nd being at 10pm.

They usually get posted 2/3 weeks in advance. Same time any park hours extension happens.

Does anyone know when they typically announce more times for Fantamsic! I figured spring break would be a good time to have two shows but nothing posted yet

It wouldn't surprise me that, after the Maleficent dragon fire, this was removed for fire protection purposes.

Does anyone know when Rapunzel’s hair stopped being a part of the float? It used to wrap around the entire float and now is just on her like her meet and greet hair. Another little part of this parade lost.

Malificent almost lost a leg today

Hot take - no day parade should last longer than 5 years, before either major updates are made (rotate in new IPs...?), or a full replacement is ready to go. This parade opened almost 11 years ago...
