Disney has today confirmed that the Inside Out meet and greet will be coming to Epcot in early April 2016.

The meet and greet with Joy and Sadness will take place in the newly expanded Character Spot, making use of the space of the former Innoventions West.

According to the official Disney Parks Blog:

"Epcot Character Spot will provide direct access to Headquarters, where you can meet Joy and Sadness, two of the Emotions who help guide Riley through life in the Disney•Pixar film “Inside Out.” On the way to Headquarters, you’ll journey through Riley’s long-term memory, catching a glimpse of her Islands of Personality before joining Joy and Sadness at the console."

The expansion of Character Spot into Innoventions began with the new BAYMAX meet and greet that opened in December 2015.

I can't wait! I've been looking forward to this for ages, and my friends and I will be there on Weds. (I insisted!) LOL

Just one they couldn't do it the other way

So is this a "high capacity" meet and greet with a few rooms or just one room?

If they kept the mindset of Not having them like they use to when it first opened. I think it would have still done fine due to the booze..

I went here today and it was fun! We were the third group to see them. I brought my stuffed Bing Bong with me and told Joy "Hey look! Riley does remember Bing Bong after all!", and she was so happy that she kissed him and made the "o" in her signature into a heart shape because she was so excited about it. Sadness, meanwhile, hugged him and showed him to the guy taking our photo. It was fun and I'd love to do it again!

Again, if you decide to do one park and pay the full single day single park price and decide to drive in and pay the parking fee, and you pick DHS at this time, then that's your own darn fault.

Animal Kingdom also has around 15 attractions (shows, rides, main wildlife trails). I counted around 15 attractions at DHS currently, including all rides shows and walkthroughs. DHS has only closed three attractions recently (LMA, BLT & HISTK). Yes Animal Kingdom is a lot more worthwhile park to visit and will gain a night show this year and 2-3 more attractions next year. But I think DHS has been overpriced ever since it stopped being a true working studio as they haven't invested in new attractions often enough.

So you are saying $100 bucks plus 20 dollars to park is a deal for 6 rides and 6 shows!?! I know improvements are coming and I am expecting the prices to go even higher when they are done but $120 bucks for a half day park is NOT worth it!

JUFL2019Apr 04, 2016

Not to mention if you are actually buying a 1 day 1 park ticket to DHS you probably deserve to be ripped off.

dstrawn9889Apr 04, 2016

ugh, this again... Yes there are walls, because there are IMPROVEMENTS COMING.

KillnmeApr 04, 2016

But Disney will still charge you a 100 bucks a day to get in while making the Great Wall of Disney throughout DHS!

It's so sad. The company that really believed in EPCOT Center is dead and all we get is this company that doesn't know what to do with Epcot so they just throw characters in the park.
