'Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage' is back at Disney's Hollywood Studios following a 16-month break due to COVID-19.
You can see the finale of the very first show from yesterday below (View the entire first show in 4K YouTube.)
As we have seen at the Festival of the Lion King, the show has been reworked to eliminate any close contact between performers, most noticeable in the closing scene with Belle and the Beast remaining at 6 feet of spacing.
It was an emotional day for many of the cast and crew at Theater of the Stars, with some of the production crew in tears at the end of the first show.
In addition to the performers on stage, 'Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage' employs a large crew including stage techs, cosmetologists, costuming, and more - many of which have been out of work for more than a year.

Although the show takes place outdoors, masks are still required following the latest Walt Disney World health and safety requirements.
