Annual Pass ticket to RFID card conversion to begin next week

Starting 20 March 2013, new and renewed Annual Passes will be issued new RFID cards. Also, from 20 March to 19 May 2013, existing Annual Passholders can visit the Odyssey Center at Epcot to convert their existing ticket to an RFID card. Bring along your AP and photo ID. Conversion of the ticket to RFID card is not required. Water park or Disney Quest annual passes cannot be converted at the Odyssey and must be done at the park in question.

The new RFID cards will allow the use of 'Touch to Enter' at the turnstiles, and will allow continued use of the existing FASTPASS machines. The new cards also a thicker credit card type material in place of the existing thin ticket media.  No word yet however on when the MagicBands will be available for Annual Passholders.
