The Walt Disney Company has announced MyDisney, a new unified login system set to launch on Tuesday April 16, 2024.

The new system aims to simplify the user experience by eliminating the need to manage different passwords for various Disney-related accounts, such as Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, and Disney theme parks.

When you login using your personal account information, you will now see the same MyDisney login prompt everywhere you go asking for the same email and password, creating a more seamless login experience.

According to Ajay Arora, SVP of Commerce, Growth & Identity for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, this technological upgrade will streamline consumer access and enhance user experiences across Disney's digital platforms.

Users will be prompted to update their passwords at their next login to make them compatible with the MyDisney system. Get started at https://my.disney.com

How did you get footage from inside Disney's IT department?

"AI can do the same job at a fraction of the cost of a single employee!"

Good thing they didn't lay off the team that built this and replace them with cheap foreign labor or anything.

That happened to me a few months back. Apparently whatever bug is causing that loop, where you can ultimately get locked out, hasn't been fixed.

Anyone else have weird issues since this happened? Every time I try to use the Disneyland app to view dining reservations or what not, it tries to use my FaceID, and then eventually it has to email a code to log me in... my password is the same, it matches, it works. The app is killing me with this.

One of the things my now-wife and I bonded over early in our relationship was go.com jokes.

That was an Eisner shaped hole that Disney bought to shovel money into.

A true "MyDisney" log in would just be - go to MyDisney and log in and you're logged in to all Disney sites and apps where you have an account or you can opt which ones to log in or out. Not signing in for every site separately using the same login page.

I couldn't get it to embed properly, but all credit to Scott Gustin on X for the joke. Basically, just replace a billion of these emails: with these emails:

Don’t push it. Their IT dept can barely count to 2

I'm dealing with the cleanup from IT execs saying that exact thing for years at my job right now. "We're changing this" "Ok, let's do it" "What about cleanup?" "It's not broken, no need to fix anything or clean anything up". Years and years and years of things NOT being cleaned up, and now "clean up x, y, z, plus items 1-42" are on my To Do list.
