Kilimanjaro Safaris to replace 'Little Red' scene with new savannah space

The official Disney Parks Blog has today announced that opening Fall 2012 will be a new Kilimanjaro Safaris savannah space featuring zebra.  The area will be added by removing the existing 'Little Red' set pieces from the finale of the attraction. 

The poaching element of the story has gradually been phased out of the attraction over the years, and the removal of 'Little Red' has been speculated ever since the last story change in 2007.  Work is expected to begin in the spring, and no closures are expected.
