Walt Disney World monorail system to begin limited service from July 11

Jul 01, 2020 in "Walt Disney World Monorail System"

The Walt Disney World monorail system will resume carrying guests from July 11 with the reopening of the Magic Kingdom.

Both the Express monorail, linking the Transportation and Ticket Center, and the Resort monorail will be in service. The EPCOT line will not be operating, including when EPCOT reopens on July 15. Guests at the monorail resorts will be required to take a bus to EPCOT.

The capacity will obviously be greatly reduced, with most likely no standing guests.

I'm just kidding. It's all lies. I just wanted to switch the topic for a while.

Ok, so a guy wore a mask with some wording on it. He Wore A Mask properly! No one care's what was written on it.

You were about to report someone wearing a mask correctly?

Easier to fire third party for a poor job.

Lilofan6 days ago

If third party crews get hurt on the job, Disney doesn't have to pick up their medical / injury costs. That could run into hundreds of thousands of dollars or even more depending on the severity of the injury.

I saw a guy in Magic Kingdom recently with a custom made mask that says "WORN BY FORCE, NOT BY CHOICE." I kinda felt that he was trouble already. I'm was about to report it to a CM but decided to let it go since he's not doing anything wrong anyways. It's just a silent protest. I saw him two times after that while walking in Fantasyland and the other while in the queue at Big Thunder. In all fairness to him, he was wearing the mask and wearing it correctly at both times.

You’re hilarious, Oswald Cobblepot 🙄

Do not have to pay bennies as JohnD said and shifts liability to the third party if they are installed improperly

Part time, no more than 29 hours. Don't have to pay benefits unlike full time CMs. Hourly rate is also probably less than for full time CMs also.

How is this cheaper than having on staff maintenance crews perform the work?

That baby carriage is not allowed in WDW!!

There is a full time third party crew at the parks replacing the distancing markers.

"Mickey Mouse and his best pals are returning to breakfast at Chef Mickey’s restaurant in Disney’s Contemporary Resort on December 16, bringing some new items to the menu inspired by their favorite dishes. " Along with traditional breakfast favorites, you will be able to try the new Mickey’s “Celebration” Pancake, featuring whipped cream, celebration sprinkles, shimmering pixie dust and more. For something a bit more savory, we’re adding a new “Loaded” Potato-Cheese Casserole topped with smoked bacon crumbles and chives. Last but not least, Goofy’s Banana Bread French Toast will combine unique flavors of banana bread baked in zesty orange-scented French toast batter, topped with Espresso-mascarpone cream, toasted bananas and chocolate crumbles. If you can’t decide on which new item to try, you’ll be able to taste all three as part of an all-you-care-to-eat family style feast with other traditional breakfast favorites. When Mickey and friends return, the experience may look a little different than the last time you visited, but you can still expect to smile, wave and make unforgettable memories with some of your favorite characters as they parade through the restaurant in their chef’s best. Reservations for Chef Mickey’s character breakfast will open on October 17, based on availability. In addition, Disney Resort hotel guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay (up to 10 days)." https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2020/10/mickey-and-friends-bring-new-food-items-to-chef-mickeys-on-december-16/
