Disney is about to unleash its new Designer Mouse Ears at Walt Disney World and the shopDisney app.

The limited release Mouse Ears will be designed by notable celebrities, designers and artists - including Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde.

Here is the release schedule so far:

  • HARVEYS – May 24th
  • Betsey Johnson – Summer 2019
  • ALEX AND ANI – Summer 2019
  • Noah Fine Art – Summer 2019
  • Kim Irvine – Summer 2019
  • Her Universe – Summer 2019
  • SHAG – Summer 2019
  • Jerrod Maruyama – Fall 2019
  • Heidi Klum – Fall 2019
  • The Blonds – Fall 2019
  • Loungefly – Fall 2019
  • COACH – Fall 2019
  • Joe Rhode – April 2020
  • Vera Wang – Spring 2020

Since they're getting rid of the hotel tiers with the new Disney Skyliner Gondolas, now you can buy Value, Moderate, or Deluxe ears!

I'm glad to see there are hats in the collection and not just headbands (which I cannot wear as they don't sit right with my horns). I don't buy ears anyway. If I want a hat it'll be something special, not something everyone wants or is a status symbol.

I don't know what I think about this. I feel like I'm the target demographic as I collect Minnie ears and also have an extensive collection of Coach and Betsey Johnson bags, but I don't think that I would buy these? It just seems odd?

Waiting to see the price point, but I’m expecting it to be quite high. Definitely a “Go for it, if you can afford it” from me, but it’s also a little disappointing that there seems to be no end to what they are willing to upscale. Can’t help but think of Spaceballs 2: The Quest for More Money 😕
