Look inside the new Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Top of the World Lounge officially reopens on July 11 at Disney's Contemporary Resort as the "Villains Lair" following the special hard-ticket event, the "Bound to be Bad" Fireworks Party on July 8-10.

Though long gone by now, it seems Disney Villains briefly settled in while the lounge was closed, leaving behind a few infamous portraits and accessories.

Disney cast embraced this latest chapter in the lounge’s ongoing story by creating a new, Villain-inspired menu – from “Cherna-Board” of meats and cheeses and herb-roasted “Unfortunate Souls Shrimp” to “Lair-Made Hummus” and “Who’s Afraid of Pork Belly Sliders” – paired with cleverly named cocktails like “The Other Side,” “The Underworld” and “Mirror Mirror Moonshine.”

Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair is open from 6:00 PM to midnight daily, subject to capacity restrictions and operating hours. Check-in time starts at 5:45 PM.

Complimentary parking for eligible Members begins at 5:00 PM, pending availability. Eligible Members must present a digital Member Card and photo ID at security to confirm accessibility.

The lounge may include blockout dates, such as holidays (July 4th, New Year’s Eve, etc.) and special event nights.

Upon arrival, Members must check in at the Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair desk on the ground floor lobby. At least one Member in the traveling party must accompany the group and present their current MagicBand, digital Membership card and government-issued photo ID in order to gain admission to the lounge and observation deck.

Any idea when they plan on adding more dates to the Wicked Wind Down event? I only see that it say until August 11th and more dates will be added soon? TIA :)

You need to go to your wallet (Google or Apple) to see it. Apple will have 3 dots on the top right to click on. Google will have a button saying details at the bottom https://dvcfan.com/2022/01/03/download-your-new-digital-dvc-membership-card/

This was in my apple wallet. I’m not sure how to access the information without saving your pass to your apple wallet.

after i select Profile, then Membership and passes, I see a list of my current and old membership numbers. None of them open anything further. How do I get to this screen?

Thank you so much 😊

The reservations are for the Wind Down event. Otherwise you just check in on the lobby level. Reports are that they use a waitlist and text you when there’s a table ready. So the earlier you can be there the better your chances. I suspect the rush will die down as time goes on and the novelty of he re-opening wears off.

Sorry one more question:) Do you have to call ahead to make reservations or can we just go up and see and have some food and drinks? TIA

Thank you. I see the Y now :)

nickys30 days ago

The Y shows on your digital card, which you need to have in your Apple or Android wallet to be able to show. You have to open the card to see the details, which includes the Y for “blue card” members.

Can someone please explain a Y on the digital card? We’ve been members (bought directly from Disney in 2018 ) but I’ve never seen a Y on our cards  We will be there in August staying at our home resort (reservations made on the dvc website using our points) so I assume we would be allowed to go?

That’s an interesting distinction. We’re there “on our membership” for a few days in August. Might check it out.
