Top of the World Lounge officially reopens on July 11 at Disney's Contemporary Resort as the "Villains Lair" following the special hard-ticket event, the "Bound to be Bad" Fireworks Party on July 8-10.

Though long gone by now, it seems Disney Villains briefly settled in while the lounge was closed, leaving behind a few infamous portraits and accessories.

Disney cast embraced this latest chapter in the lounge’s ongoing story by creating a new, Villain-inspired menu – from “Cherna-Board” of meats and cheeses and herb-roasted “Unfortunate Souls Shrimp” to “Lair-Made Hummus” and “Who’s Afraid of Pork Belly Sliders” – paired with cleverly named cocktails like “The Other Side,” “The Underworld” and “Mirror Mirror Moonshine.”

Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair is open from 6:00 PM to midnight daily, subject to capacity restrictions and operating hours. Check-in time starts at 5:45 PM.

Complimentary parking for eligible Members begins at 5:00 PM, pending availability. Eligible Members must present a digital Member Card and photo ID at security to confirm accessibility.

The lounge may include blockout dates, such as holidays (July 4th, New Year’s Eve, etc.) and special event nights.

Upon arrival, Members must check in at the Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair desk on the ground floor lobby. At least one Member in the traveling party must accompany the group and present their current MagicBand, digital Membership card and government-issued photo ID in order to gain admission to the lounge and observation deck.

Yes they do.

Does TOTWL play the soundtrack for the party shows like MVMCP fireworks?

Thank you both!

From the DVC website: Party Size Eligible Members and their guests staying on that Member’s reservation are eligible. Each eligible Membership can enjoy Top of the World Lounge access for one party per day—which can include eligible Members and guests staying on that Member's reservation. At least one Member in the traveling party must accompany the group and present their current MagicBand, digital Membership card and government-issued photo ID in order to gain admission to the lounge and observation deck. A Digital Disney Vacation Club Membership Card is also required to verify Membership eligibility.

There are two ways to get up to the Lounge. 1. Guarantee your place by booking and paying for Wicked Wind Down. 2. Go to the podium from 5:45pm and put your name on a list to just go up. They’ll text when there’s a table. And I believe just before the fireworks they let people up too just for the terrace. Still gotta have that blue card though. You need to be “blue card” eligible to go to either. According to the rules you cannot take other guests up 7s less they’re staying with you. Not sure if that is a hard and fast rule.

I'm confused about the Wicked Wind Down. We are owners at Bay Lake Tower and going down tomorrow. On Wednesday our friends staying at Caribbean who are not DVC members wanted to go to the Top Of The World Wednesday night with us to watch fireworks and grab some food. I believe there is a Wicked Wind Down event. Can we still get in? Can they come in with us? Do they kick people out at a certain time to make space for the people coming for the event? Our friends have 3 adults and 3 kids in their party. Anyone have any info around this?

My bad.

Chi84Sep 25, 2022

It’s a video that shows both Epcot and TotWL.

RememberWhenSep 24, 2022

Maybe I missed something? The ad, is for the member lounge at Epcot, right? Not the Top of the World Lounge at BLT. TotWL is villain themed. Epcot lounge is not.

Club CooloholicSep 23, 2022

It's an ad from Disney DVC, not a group...the company.

LuvtheGoofSep 23, 2022

Well, thanks, I have no idea what DVC group that is.

Club CooloholicSep 22, 2022

I couldn't tell there was a theme at all from that picture and the ad made no mention. That's all.

LuvtheGoofSep 20, 2022

I'm a member of the DVC FB group and don't see anything like what you seem to be talking about.

LuvtheGoofSep 20, 2022

We're paid for it on our trip here in a few weeks.
