In response to a critical shortage of COVID-19 testing availability in the Central Florida area, Disney has set up its own testing site at Walt Disney World for Cast Members.
The testing site is located at Blizzard Beach and becomes operational on January 12 with 40,000 self-administered testing kits. Cast Members are required to make appointments, and tests are currently reserved for Cast Members who have been exposed to COVID-19 or have symptoms. Note that Blizzard Beach is closed to guests at this time for its annual refurbishment.
Disney is also working with the local government to open a community testing site within Walt Disney World, although further details are not yet available.
In addition to the new testing site, Disney continues to offer COVID-19 vaccination and booster services for its Cast Members.
