From the National Weather Service

A LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS MAKING ITS WAY ONTO THE PENINSULA FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO. LAKE AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES WILL BE THE FIRST TO BE IMPACTED AROUND 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON. AREAS TO THE SOUTH AND EAST WILL SEE THIS LINE PUSH THROUGH LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING...IN ADDITION TO STORMS DEVELOPING AHEAD OF THIS LINE IN THE DESTABILIZING AIR MASS OVER EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT...BUT HAIL AND ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL ALSO BE A CONCERN. REMEMBER...WHEN THUNDER ROARS...GO INDOORS.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN PLACE FOR LAKE...VOLUSIA...SEMINOLE... ORANGE...OSCEOLA AND BREVARD COUNTIES UNTIL 8 PM. THIS MEANS THAT CONDITIONS FOR SEVERE WEATHER ARE FAVORABLE...INCLUDING TORNADOES.
