Target has opened its doors today at the Disney master-planned Flamingo Crossings just outside the Walt Disney World gateway on Western Way.

The store is a mini-version of the Super Target style store, and it covers all of the main shopping needs, including fresh produce, frozen foods, grocery items, CVS pharmacy, clothing, household goods, and a dedicated beer, wine and spirits area. Think of it is offering the best sellers from a full sized Super Target store.

The new Target at Flamingo Crossings is a very convenient addition for anyone staying in the new hotels in the area, and for the recently opened College Program housing.

For guests staying on Walt Disney World property, this new Target is likely to be the closest grocery store. It is on the western side of property, closest to Disney's Coronado Springs, which is about a 5 minute drive away.

Being so close to Disney and part of the Disney planned Flamingo Crossings, there is a section in the store dedicated to Disney. You'll find Disney plush, clothing and accessories.

Alcohol offerings include a range of wine, beer and spirits in a dedicated space with its own entrance off the lobby.

The store also features Target's drive up curbside ordering with 6 spaces.

Target is the second store to open in Flamingo Crossing after Walgreens. Upcoming openings include Five Guys and Five Below.

Joining the line-up later will be PDQ, Ben & Jerry's, Dunkin', Wendy's, Domino's, Ellie Lou's Brews & BBQ, Firehouse Subs, Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co., Pieology Pizzeria, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ and a UPS Store.

not sure the lines will slow down that soon. There are at least 5 other locations in the state so they seem to do ok down here. The one I lived near in Sunrise FL has probably been there for at least 40 years.

Culver’s has the best burgers of any fast food chain, better than 5 guys, better than in and out. The custard is also great, outside of a good mom&pop place (most of which are located in the Milwaukee metro area) you won’t find better. The curds and fries are serviceable, not bad, not amazing, but solid. Their chicken, pork and fish are also quite good, but I usually can’t not pick the burger.

'In defense of Culver's. My Wisconsinite daughter takes friends to Culver's to have the "food of her people" in Orlando and says it's just not as good as home, especially the curds. But they have a pretty good fish fry for a fast food place.

Looks like a winner at WDW.

And on the West Side in Disney Springs, and now in the Town Center.

Yeah…didn’t they try this before?

Fit2Run had a huge location at the touristy FL Mall in Orlando complete with oval running track inside the store. That lasted a few years before the placed closed.

Fit2Run Shoes signage is up !! Should be opening soon. ..

I did not know there were 2 locations...The one on Little Palm is great! We always make a point of going there when we are up in Orlando

There's also a Portillo's on Palm Parkway (around 5 miles from Disney Springs).

Culver’s is just a “Meh” burger/ice cream joint. It will fit right in with Orlando’s “Food sprawl” New Jersey had more “taste cred” before it embraced 600 chipotles 😎
