Disney's Merchandise Team after this was announced...

There's a lot less they can offer here. It's not like closing a park a few hours early and reopening for the people who paid to go. Notice they say gold members will have the *chance* to bowl, dine and play in the arcade? There is no mention of any of that being included in you $57 ticket. Folks will pay their $57, show up to get their stuff, jump through whatever hoops to buy the exclusive stuff, snap some pics for insta and then a lot will likely leave not wanting to deal with the crowd. The influencers will, I'm sure, descend and create reels making it look like a celebration for the ages... at Splitsville. The funny part is, I saw the headline on the main page and my first thought was "merchandising event" - they've conditioned me to now just assume that's what any sort of thing they call a celebration is really going to be - a chance to stand in lines to buy crap.

$50 seems pretty reasonable for a Disney event considering what they normally charge.

Odd they expect you to go to Coronado Springs to pick things up instead of having everything at Splitsville - talk about inconvenient! I wish these extra events weren't so expensive; I appreciate the head's up from WDWMagic as I never hear about these things from D23, even though I'm on their email list.
