The 2024 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World will take place over 90 days this year, from February 28 through May 27, 2024.

Notably, the 2024 Flower and Garden Festival is much shorter than in recent years. The 2023 event was held from March 1 through July 5, or just over 120 days.

It will, however, be a quick turnaround for EPCOT's festival team, which will see the currently underway Festival of the Arts end on February 19.

Here is a rundown of everything announced so far for the 2024 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World.

New Topiary

At the park's main entrance, there will be new topiaries from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film "Wish," including Asha, Valentino and the Wishing Star.

Groot in topiary form will appear at EPCOT near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in World Discovery for the first time. View a list of all the 2024 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival topiaries.

Garden Rocks Concert Series

New acts will join the Garden Rocks Concert Series: Modern English, Crowder, Lit, Monsieur Perine, and Fonseca. For the first time, Raul Acosta & Oro Solido will share the stage with Magic Juan, then return the next day with Luisito Ayala and The Puerto Rican Power Band. View the full Garden Rocks Concert Series performer line-up for 2024.

Dining packages, which include guaranteed seating for Garden Rocks, will go on sale on February 6 and will be available at:

  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
  • Biergarten Restaurant
  • Coral Reef Restaurant
  • Garden Grill Restaurant
  • Rose & Crown Dining Room
  • Le Cellier Steakhouse
  • Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Brews & Barbecue (same-day, in-person walk-up packages only)

Outdoor Kitchens

The Outdoor Kitchens will return, with full details still to be announced. Returning favorites include Chicken & Waffles at The Honey Bee-stro Hosted by the National Honey Board, the Muffuletta Panini at Magnolia Terrace, and the Chocolate Whisky Cake at Northern Bloom.

Scavenger Hunts

There are two scavenger hunts this year. Throughout the festival, follow Spike the Bee on his pollination trail to collect nectar from EPCOT's gardens with Spike's Pollination Exploration. And for a limited time, you can also hop around World Showcase for the Egg-stravaganza Hunt. Twelve bunny-inspired eggs will be placed throughout the park for players to find.

Butterfly Garden and Playgrounds

Butterfly Landing Presented by AdventHealth offers guests the chance to get up close and personal with butterflies. This walkthrough butterfly house highlights the life cycle of butterflies and contains valuable pollinator gardens.

At Blossoms of Fragrance Presented by Scentsy, you can find out more about making lasting memories from fragrances.

At Camp Get Out N' Play Garden Presented by OFF!, families can explore a camp-themed garden where kiddos can jump, play, climb and explore this area created just for them.

Merchandise

Flower and Garden Festival merchandise will be available at Festival Markets and Creations Shop. Collections will include Orange Bird, Coco, and Butterfly. Annual Passholders will have exclusive access to a Spike the Bee collection.

Select merchandise will also be available at shopDisney from March 4, 2024.

Epcot is definitely beautiful during F&G.

Good morning from Epcot! I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t done Flower and Garden in four years but I think this is the prettiest I’ve seen Epcot in a long time; absolutely stunning!! And the weather today? Sublime!

it was a real mix of 'crowds'. Based on T-shirts, Rick Springfield brings people to the park -- public schools are out this week (at least in Polk county) -- AP block out dates start coming up in the next couple of weeks -- Spring break from other areas -- International tourism has seemed strong at Disney (my opinion) the last 8 months or so. But it was really crowded compared to what it had been since the last race weekend. For my wife, my mother-in-law, and myself, it was chicken and waffles, butterfly gardens, then home for it was a bit too much for us and it is easy for us to come back another day.

Opening day was busy, so to hear that a recent day was busier is … interesting. And telling.

F&G booths haven't been busy at all outside first weekend. But the park is busy, so I'd imagine it has to do with either less disposable income (mostly from APs), or items no longer as exciting or worth trying. Lots of booths this year solely offer some sort of vegetarian option as the only item, and those have been empty. There is definitely festival fatigue at this point. Festival of the Arts was quite busy, so I think people are interested in them still... but not a new one each month lol Sooner or later they will need to incentivize guests to go in the summer... so they'll need to come up with a summer festival soon

We went on Monday and I would say that Spring Break is certainly happening. I would not claim that I have been to each day of the festival, but I can certainly say that Monday was the busiest we have seen Epcot during this year's F&G. We were there on opening day and the crowds on opening day where nowhere near what we saw on 3/11 (save for the queue to get into Creations on opening day).

There would be some value to that educational piece, I'd imagine. But here we are. We were there are the start and it was obviously very busy, but it's interesting to hear that crowds seem to have died off rather quickly, especially on a weekend. We'll see how things go over the next month with Spring Break ramping up quickly, I'm rather interested in hearing more boots-on-the-ground reports of crowds for F&G.

There is a lot that goes into it and difficult keeping the flowers looking great in the FL Heat. I do wish they had some more of the educational aspect they used to have with workshops and teaching different techniques in gardening. i know its not really sexy but i used to like talking with the botanists about different plants and flowers. Went yesterday and the Festival seems very empty like they removed a lot of Kiosks and festival tents. Was not crowded at all yesterday given that its spring break. What few food pavilions they did have I didn't have to wait at all.

I also wondered why they didn't offer a real buffalo chicken option as well as the fake buffalo chicken option. Seems rather short-sighted.

Andrew25Mar 08, 2024

Yeah but I want Buffalo Tender Poutine with actual chicken lol

HauntedPirateMar 08, 2024

In the case of Canada, traditional poutine is also available. However, it’s not listed in the guide, only on the physical menu at the stand.

Andrew25Mar 08, 2024

Has anyone seen substantial lines thus far at some of the booths with only plant-based options? Noticed a few of the booths with only plant-based options aren't too busy (Poutine at Canada, booth between Morocco/France). Very surprised they can't offer a traditional protein as well.

boo-yah!!

monothingieMar 07, 2024

Fair enough, but it waters down the brand, even making it appear fake. Zach and the carefully crafted persona marketing created for him bordered on parody. They've toned it back from Zach, but when your competitor is building an entire new park, bragging about a painted bush with a projector on it, thinking that this will excite people, seems out of touch.
