For them, they use the term 'typecasting' to indicate look-alike-ness for that-specific-character will be considered in the hiring process. This avoids anti-discrimination laws.

Personally I actually really enjoyed my time at this event last year. I just wonder if there will be different characters or what the offerings will be. I remember the pork belly they had being one of the best park foods I've ever eaten world wide. The duffy brownie was also a fantastic addition last year. Will be interesting to see what they come up with to justify a ticket or not. Personally my favorite Disney party is Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland, but Jollywood night character greetings definitely make it my 2nd favorite.

I just think it's interesting that they use that language for some of the jobs but not for the princesses. Not that I think this would ever end up happening:

That's been used in their help wanted for years. It would be really odd if suddenly that was a problem.

That begs the question about all face character roles..

Two new casting notices are out for Jollywood Nights 2025: Vocalists: Dancers:

Nah, this is one area where Disney customer service excels. I’ve never heard of anyone being SOL when they can’t make a party. The worst they will do is a credit, and depending on the circumstances, refunds are not unheard of.

Fido ChuckwagonDec 01, 2024

They will almost certainly give you a credit towards future purchase.

Wes TackerDec 01, 2024

If you don’t use the tickets you’ll have a credit in your account that can be used for any future special event tickets. This is standard.

NunuDec 01, 2024

I know of people in your situation who've gotten a refund or credit. In my experience with dealing with Guest Relations, asking nicely can go a long way. Good luck!

Plead your case. But you're likely SOL. Most situations do not permit a refund, credit or transfer. Sorry.

I bought tickets for Dec 21, but I don't think I will be able to make it to florida. Am I able to get a credit, or is it a total loss?
