They were doing the virtual queues last week. It was just that the line to sign up started much earlier than in the past. On the positive side, the CMs signed people up for the virtual queues a lot earlier than they did in the past, too. I haven't heard anything about when the virtual queue line has been starting this week.

Now that it’s open, how has the line been to get in. I saw opening day was super long. Are they doing virtual ques? Looking to go in August but don’t want to spend hours waiting in line.

Probably not, but I can't remember!

Be sure to open the box to check that the mug inside isn’t damaged or defective.

I have a feeling that's not the first time or last time you've made that statement... lol.

I know, but I was typing that on my phone. And drunk. So I took a typing shortcut.

you made my day :)

Yup. Your receipt shows that you paid for the mug, and then you take it to/show it to the CM at the stand. They stamp the receipt so you can't use it twice, and give you the mug all boxed up. If the weather is nice, it's definitely more relaxing outside.

Technically they are Hipo-poto-mai-tais.

Yes! They asked. But by default every drink is served in plastic cups. My son (had a virgin mocktail) did think that the drink sizes were larger inside. Ymmv

It turned around my day for sure.

when you do that, can you still get tiki glasses? I ask because when i come on my vacation next year, im afraid since its such a small place i might not get in. Id be fine just getting a drink and tiki glass if thats the worst case scenario.

CommunicoraJul 19, 2021

I'm glad you got your mai tais! I hope you have a blast at MK.

Beacon JoeJul 19, 2021

Definitely regaining their sea legs. The lanai and outdoor walkup bar is running strong and behind. But I got good and drunk on mai tais even though I couldn’t get into the actual tiki bar. Now back to magic kingdom to... not actually get to ride anything because half the park is down and all the lines suck. But at least I’m plastered so it’ll be fun.
