Disney has today announced that a new immersive character dining experience will be coming this winter to Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort.

Artist Point will continue to operate as a signature restaurant through November 10 2018, prior to the switch over to character dining.

According to Disney, "Storybook Dining at Artist Point will invite guests to venture into an Enchanted Forest-like setting inspired by Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” There, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal of fantastic fare with visits from Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy. Delightful music and activities will help bring the classic fairytale to life, and you’ll even have an opportunity for an encounter with The Queen.

This immersive character dinner takes place amidst the rustic elegance and exceptional dining that Artist Point is known for. You’ll enjoy a uniquely themed prix fixe menu, including shared starters, a choice of individual plated entrees and ‘sweet spells’ to finish the meal."

I'm really happy to read such good reviews of this place. Even though I don't care much for character meals, I'll def check it out next time I'm in WDW!

If this Huntsman shows up I'd pay up to $100pp

Guess I don't eat much Prime Rib as I thought my meal on 12/30 was phenomenal. The appetizers were great and the desserts phenomenal as well. The character interaction was much better than any experience I have had before. My wife and I traveled and dined with one of her best friends and her 5 year old daughter was was celebrating a birthday. Snow White danced with her for 2 minutes at one point, and the interaction with the Evil Queen was perhaps one of the best I've ever witnessed.

Just got back from dinner at Artist Point. Lots of flavor packed into the appetizers and desserts. Veal shank was decent. DW said the prime rib was buffet-quality. I’ll take her word for it. Character interaction was good and overall experience was unique. This is a “try it once”-type of place.

lol. No. It's not for you. That's cool. It's not the end of the world in terms of offerings.

Certainly not comparable, Artists Pointes' entrees were dreadful, while these look actually good and edible . The previous menu was at best a parody of PNW food in an almost always empty and dark restaurant.

We just returned from Disney on the 21st and ate at Story Book Dining on the 20th. We are not foodies but enjoyed our meals. Of the appetizers the squash bisque and the hunter's pie were the favorites (even with the teenagers). My husband had the Royal Prime Rib that tasted marvelous but was fatty. Not sure if that was to be expected. I had the Brothers Grimm Chicken that was very good and my son had the Walk Through the Forest Pasta, and said it was incredibly good. The desserts were tasty and the presentation of the "heart" was very cool (pun intended)! The heart actually tasted excellent. The characters, like anywhere, sort of have to buzz through the room, but took all of the pics we asked for and grumpy signed my husbands hat. He also messed around with him a good bit I think because he was wearing a grumpy shirt. The Evil Queen played her role well and took a bunch of pics with us also. People were mostly dressed very casually, I saw a few people dressed up. We were on the DDP and since it is currently a 1 credit meal, was an excellent use of 1 point.

Looks totally uninspiring and way overpriced! Certainly not comparable to the former Artist Point!

I must be missing something. I only see three items on the menu with mushrooms (Hunter's Pie, Bashful's Butter-Poached Snapper, and the Vegetarian Steam Bun). Most of the items seem rather safe: Roasted Chicken, Rib Roast, Veal Shank. They even have basic pasta and Chicken Tenders for the kids. But I'm probably missing something. I'll know for more after my May trip. We have reservations . . . and I cannot abide mushrooms.

Solid points. I imagine if you like Snow White and the characters, and if the food looks appealing, it's a hit and "worth it". I imagine they go more bland for the food over time. I mean, mushrooms aren't that adventerous. I understand some just not liking them though. We all have our own tastes :) Pricing is a bit ridiculous at Disney. I've been hearing more and more complaints about how costly everything is and it really is. I mean, $70 for sweaters, $34 for a shirt ... everything's about $20-$30 more than it should be. But, you know "you pay for Disney" I guess ... lol

Honestly it looks good to me. $55 could be worth it if you like certain items. My issue is I'm not sure there is any way I can justify $33 for a kid. Just not sure between the two prices I can justify going here over something at Disney Springs.
