Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park at Walt Disney World may reopen before the end of the year based on latest calendar updates for Blizzard Beach.

Blizzard Beach, the only water park currently operating at Disney World, is expected to have its final day of operation on December 25 2021 before closing for its annual refurbishment.

Should Blizzard Beach follow that schedule, Typhoon Lagoon would reopen as Walt Disney World's operating water park through the winter. Disney is yet to make any official announcement on its plans to reopen Typhoon Lagoon.

Based on previous year's refurbishments, Blizzard Beach would then be expected to reopen in the spring, with Disney World then likely to operate both water parks for the first time since reopening from the COVID-19 shutdown.

Both of Walt Disney World's water parks closed along with the rest of Walt Disney World in March 2020 due to COVID-19 and have remained closed despite the main four theme parks reopening. Blizzard Beach initially reopened on March 7 2021.

Sounds like the crush and gusher. Who wants to get their banana blasted, coconuts crushed, or just get a pineapple plunged? hehe

It’s been considered many times for Blizzard Beach. Not sure why they don’t pull the trigger and only expand Typhoon.

EricsBiscuitMar 17, 2022

I was about to wonder out loud if they would respond to Uni expanding their water park but then I remembered that we are talking about Disney. Lol

Actually it’s not random at all, it’s based on the “Partysaurus Rex” short about a bathtub party (it’s on Disney+). I don’t know how much will be cut this year, but we went back in 2018 and it was lots of fun.
