Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will reopen to guests starting March 17, 2024.

Disney is continuing its post-pandemic water park plan into 2024, leaving only one of the two parks open at a time.

Disney's Blizzard Beach water park, available now through March 16, 2024, will be closed for refurbishment beginning March 17, 2024.

Makes the decision easy to decline the water parks and more option, since "water parks" isn't really plural, as it should be.

There’s been dust on the phone since about 11 am the first day…I’m not even exaggerating

Can't Elsa just use her magic to make it cold there year-round? I mean, she created Olaf and made a cloud with constant snow showers for him.

Y'all are ridiculous. How do you expect a ski resort to be open in the summer? Hell last time I was there it was all melting and that was in winter!

Remember when they geared up a wait-list for WDW annual passes around a year ago? Wonder how that's going.

100%. If one of the two water parks is always closed the water parks and more add on annual passes should be reduced in price and renamed to water park and more you can only visit one at any given time. Closing a park that's barely been open for "refurbishment" is such a lame excuse.

You mean the one they have ZERO excuse to close? They sell tickets for that…and people can’t use it

lol…”closed for refurbishment”…60 days spread over 4 months is a hell of a lot of wear and tear

Missing my favorite WDW park by just ONE DAY!!!! Dang!

Disappointing if Blizzard Beach is indeed closed during the summer months. They are truly limiting potential attendance for reasons unknown. But then again, they can't build anything in less than 4 years, why would running two water parks at the same time in the summer be something they could figure out?

No, not necessarily but I don’t think it looks good

Does the fact that it is going down for refurbishment on March 17th necessarily indicate that it will remain closed all Summer?

Yep ridiculous. We’re local passholders and used to love alternating water parks in the summer. We finally went to Blizzard Beach on an 80 degree day in a late November because it had been over 4 years since we’d last been and just wanted to go. But because of the nighttime temps the water was so damn cold it was not enjoyable at all, so we left after an hour. I really miss being able to enjoy Blizzard Beach during the warm months.
