Typhoon Lagoon will once again be the head quarters for the international "World's Largest Swimming Lesson" this Tuesday, June 14 2011.  Over 900 facilities with 30,000 participants will take part this year, with the aim of setting a Guinness World record for the world's largest simultaneous swimming lesson.  The event is aimed at building awareness about the vital importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning.

Typhoon Lagoon will be opening as normal, but if you are in the park and want to take part, you can register inside the park from 9am.  The event takes place at 10:35 to 11:45am for the registered participants.  The wave pool will be closed to non-participants during the lesson.
