Magic Kingdom Park Pass availability blocked out for eight days ahead of TRON Lightcycle Run passholder preview registration

Disney Park Pass availability has now been blocked out for eight days in early March at Magic Kingdom ahead of the preview registration opening today for TRON Lightcycle Run.

Magic Kingdom is now blocked out for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on March 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2023.

Access to Magic Kingdom will be restricted during the preview period for TRON Lightcycle Run beginning March 4

During previews for new attractions, passholders do not need to make park pass reservations, as one is automatically assigned on the successful reservation of preview time.

Walt Disney World Annual Passholder registration for TRON Lightcycle Run will open later today.

They used to do a parade for every new movie for a while, I believe that cost was funded by the budget for the movie though - not sure that would work nowadays

I'm all for Disney trying to get their movies into the parks super early... It used to be a big thing that would keep the parks constantly fresh... off the top of my head I think: -Space Ranger Spin opened before TS2 (before Zurg was a big thing) -BatB live opened the same day as the movie -Aladdin had a parade that opened the same day as the movie It would stop us from building an Encanto ride, set to open 6 years after the movie premiered

Listen. It’s not just lights. It’s also music. They charged us an extra $40 to turn the lights OFF at Space Mtn. New, expensive red lights and NIN music are worth at least $75 ($69.99 for APs in August and September). Wait til you visit the Grid at Christmas. You’ll be asking “Ho ho how many more of these movies will Bob approve before he accepts no one watches these movies?”

For a limited time thing, this is cool. I prefer Daft Punk but it’s a cool change. I think this could work well for a Halloween overlay. Excited to see the movie.

They just said Limited Time - maybe it will depend how it is received? The movie opens Oct 10th, figure at least through mid-October, but we shall see We are there early November, hope it is still going then
