The Walt Disney Imagineering trailer complex near to the Transportation and Ticket Center appears to be set for expansion.

Located on the former STOLport area (Short Take Off and Landing airport), the area became an Imagineering project management area for New Fantasyland back in summer 2011. The area is most visible when traveling on the monorail from the TTC to Epcot.

Permitting plans (Thanks to danlb_2000 on the WDWMAGIC Forums) reveal that two large trailers will be added, along with a dozen smaller units, complete with parking and sidewalks.

Walt Disney World has a number of large-scale projects in process and upcoming, and it seems more project management space is needed.

The large workshops on the end of the building are interesting too. I wonder if they are planning on having some sort of lift to move stuff up/down more easily.

By the way, it looks like I was wrong here. The building looks like it's actually two stories, so total square feet will be headed from 20,000 to 80,000 roughly speaking. It is quadrupling in size. This is a more sizable expansion than I thought.

Go to Diggerland in New Jersey. It is a construction themepark with all the toys you want.

Or maybe not poor planning at all, but, instead a conscious effort to weed out the weak and create a resort filled with superior people with large bulging wallets. Hey, it could happen.;)

You forgot the most amazing ride of all: The Haunted Gondola; Filled with the souls of those who perished in so many grizzly ways due to the poor planning of the Imagineers...

As long as I get to run the excavator

Of course the rides are all five times longer then they should be so they can spread out the costs. ;)

I'm looking forward to “Operation Monorail Resort: Pilings to the Center of the Earth”

Yes! WDW is building a 5th Gate themed on constructing a theme park! So, on one ride, e.g., you get on a coaster that seems only partially built skeleton of a ride and as you ride along, it is more and more 'finished' until you exit a full themed exit! Other rides: Journey into Blueprints with Figment; Big Mountain of Paperwork; Mater's Tractor Pull; Patent Pirates of the Internet; Construction Crane of Terror.

Just to be clear, I was being sarcastic.

A lot of the current projects are nearing completion. So it seems logical that these new Stol trailers and Epcot Imagineering expansion is all about new stuff. People should consider that the mouse is trying to beat Uni to the punch in a change of strategy from the past 2 decades.

Maybe, but, I read it as.. this IS the rumored TTC reconfiguration due to the close proximity of TTC. Just a tongue in cheek statement, I think. Or what some might call a joke. I actually thought it was quite humorous.
