Ride duration timings for Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers

Jun 28, 2018 in "Toy Story Land"

Posted: Thursday June 28, 2018 2:03pm ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

After estimates from the original designs and various leaked information we had a pretty good idea of Toy Story Land ride times, but with today's previews we can now put down some final numbers.

Slinky Dog Dash ride time

Slinky Dog Dash timings breaks down like this:

  • 48 seconds from station dispatch to brakes at the second launch
  • 50 seconds from the second launch brakes to the finale Wheezy animatronic brakes
  • 19 seconds from arriving at the Wheezy brakes to unload station

Which gives a total ride-time for Slinky Dog Dash of around 117 seconds, or just short of 2 minutes.

Alien Swirling Saucers ride time

At Alien Swirling Saucers, the ride time is 85 seconds from ride start to ride stop.

Does your local pizza place not still use them? (Yes this is AI but I love the cocktail umbrella idea)

Remember those little plastic pizza saver things used in delivery boxes, the ones that looked like tiny tables? How come Andy didn’t use any of those? Pair them with a few of those paper cocktail umbrellas Andy’s mom surely had lying around, and Toy Story Land would be set!

Hollywood is the only park that doesn't offer Dole Whip, which feels weird, but putting it into Toy Story Land feels just as weird. 🤔 Looking forward to seeing a fully confirmed menu.

Yeah Spring Rolls is my guess. Pizza and cheeseburger spring rolls fit the "kid food" vibe.

Be careful...Big Corn is listening and watching.

The Adventureland spring roll cart is basically variations of this. 🤷‍♂️

Nope!

How about Prince Eric’s Jumbo (but definitely not compensating for anything) Bavarian Pretzel? Or his giant pickle in a pouch? Or his enormous turkey leg? Eric may have promised wild, uncharted waters but poor Ariel must wish she was back under da sea…

That or the overrated Mickey pretzels is my guess.

If they stay on theme, Andy will be making these in the microwave like every 90s kid: At any time, you’re 90 seconds away from heaven (at a hellish temperature) in your mouth. Maybe they can even install a garden hose as a drinking fountain. I can still taste the metal in the water.

The tarts aren’t moving, but this is being built to try to relieve some pressure on the current QSR
