Disney has revealed a large scale model of the upcoming Star Wars Land coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.

Unveiled by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek , the model is on display at the D23 Expo, taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center this weekend.

View high resolution detailed images of the Star Wars Land model.

“To say we are excited for the Star Wars-themed lands to open in 2019 is an understatement,” Chapek said. “All along, we have said this will be game-changing, and through the model we can begin to see how truly epic these immersive new worlds will be.”

The new 14 acre land will open with two anchor attractions – one that gives guests the chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and one that puts guests right in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

We expect to hear more about Star Wars Land throughout the weekend, so stay tuned.

Difference is that if Tom and Jane projected Santa Mickey, they'd be sued.

I think the crowds have a lot to do with that; it seems like Nintendo is probably the most "popular" land, with kids running around. Also the way it's designed and shiny plastic everywhere...it feels VERY WARM. IDK if it still is that way this time of year but when i went early June...COOOOKIN' lol.

Even without the Wanda I find the Wizarding Worlds more interesting We were at Epic about 10 days ago and spent a surprising (at least compared to what I expected) amount of time just walking around that Wizarding World - so many details and actors and the talking mirror and watching people use their wands, etc. Nintendo World is cool (and I grew up with the original NES) but felt a little one note that after w how was like, ok, this is cool, I am ok to leave Both are impressive just in what ad the amount they built

Wooo! Only need to buy $300 in merchandise gift cards to get... a stick with a piece of glass stuck on top! Truly a bargain!

Music has been around forever, should we kill it too?

Projections were cool 10 years ago.. now every Tom and Jane has one. What's next?

mattpetoSep 02, 2025

They need to start running the projection shows behind the Falcon like they do at Disneyland.

Maybe if you're a Mario superfan, but in general, I think HP is still better/more fun for the average guest than the interactive stuff in Super Nintendo World. With the caveat that it is locked behind a paywall since it requires a wand.

And now Super Nintendo World has outclassed all of it and you don’t even have to buy the band if you don’t care about keeping score or fighting Bowser Jr.

mattpetoSep 02, 2025

I don’t think anyone knows. They seemed to do some random stuff at DHS.
