Disney's Hollywood Studios welcomed Ariel from the new Live Action 'The Little Mermaid' today as part of a new meet and greet experience at Walt Disney Presents.

Guests can meet Ariel in a unique indoor location, with a queue space displaying artwork from the movie.

Each group has their own time with Ariel in her room filled with props, and Disney PhotoPass is on-hand to capture the moment.

In addition to meeting Ariel, guests can also see some props from the movie and an 8-minute preview of the Live-Action 'The Little Mermaid.'

The Ariel meet and greet is open from 9am to 5pm daily. Click the gallery for more pictures

Ariel from the live-action story appears at Walt Disney Presents in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a limited time only as well as at Disneyland Resort in California and at Disneyland Paris in France. The live-action movie is open exclusively in theaters nationwide.

Guests can continue to meet the animated version of Ariel in her grotto at Magic Kingdom.

I'm cool with it if it's momentary. Afterall they need the publicity for the new movie.

Yup which is the Disney equivalent of taking a year to Backpack in Europe.

Was there an Ariel M&G at the theater? ;)

Saw the movie today and liked it a lot…one of the better remakes.

So what do you think will happen in this case ?

Sorry for the Princess Brand tangent but... The "Disney Princess" brand exists solely as a marketing ploy. Nothing more. They synergistically increase brand awareness and sell merch much more so together than separately. If any princess doesn't make it into that group, its either because they're not popular enough and they'll dilute the brand, or, they're way too popular such that they don't need the brand. Such is the case with the Frozen royalty. They're making bank on their own.

Elsa graduated from Queen to demigod. She is the 5th element remember?

They probably would still have it at WDP. WDP is the go to place for promoting the up and coming movies. As far as we know this is a limited time meet and greet, so I don't belive the company would be to worried about making a permanent instalation closer to the show or be concerned that there's a show with classic Ariel in the same park as this meet and greet.

Well Anna is a queen Post Frozen 2 so she outranks that entire image. Elsa took a gap year and gave up the throne so that's debatable.

I do wonder how it would have worked if the VoTLM was still playing at DHS and if they would have the M&G at WDP or someplace else?
