Originally announced in December 2019, a new interactive adventure will launch this year at EPCOT featuring characters from Disney's DuckTales.

Kartika Rodriguez, Vice President, EPCOT made the announcement today as EPCOT prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary on October 1. The project was presumed to be cancelled, so today's news comes as somewhat of a surprise.

Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure invites guests to join Scrooge McDuck, Donald, nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, Launchpad and Webby in search of priceless treasure. Using the Play Disney Parks mobile app, guests take a trip around World Showcase discovering exotic destinations, exciting mysteries, and maybe even a few thieves, villains and supernatural guardians of ancient artifacts.

The new scavenger hunt will replace Disney Phineas and Ferb - Agent P's World Showcase Adventure.

My wife and I did the Kim Possible version of the game several times before kids and always enjoyed it - it's nothing earth shattering but it's a fun diversion. We are looking forward to doing the Ducktails version with our kids in April.

Exactly what we are thinking. I'm sure we will enjoy it!

I think so - well, we don't know the specifics but the last versions of this were fun Just a fun little scavenger hunt and promotes exploring the WS pavilions a bit - which anything that does that I think is a good thing Especially given the length of your trip and your plans to spend a lot of time at EPCOT it can be something fun to do one day / something different

As an adult who really, really liked Ducktales 2017, this is something I plan to do a few times.

It’s probably going to be simplistic so not really a “challenge” but it should be entertaining for children and adults and provide a good way to explore the pavilions.

I'm sure we'll try it. We plan to do all the scavenger hunts they have for Flower/Garden too. Assuming they do them again this year.

Give it a shot, it cant hurt for one afternoon. I think it would be very cute and if you dont like it, you can always stop and find something else to do like go see Alberta Bound in Canada or The Hooligans in the UK. That is usually where I can be found!!! Marie

It fairly simplistic but if you add a handicap like drinking around the world first it might be entertaining.

Would this be something 2 adults can do also, or mostly geared towards children? Staying at Beach Club for 9 nights, I predict many hours spent at Epcot. :D

Do we have an opening date for Ducktales at all? To make 2022 it would have to be somewhat soon.

A few of the mission by the droids can get them to do a little movement, but yes, a lot more could and should have been done.
