Spaceship Earth's iconic triangles serve as the inspiration for the exterior design of EPCOT's 8,000-foot climate-controlled exhibit space, CommuniCore Hall.

The first of the glass triangle panels are now being installed, and will combine with embedded LED lighting to bring the building to life with colored light after dark.

The new venue will provide space for additional festival offerings that won't depend on Florida weather, which is also subdividable into two distinct sections.

CommuniCore Hall will also be home to an indoor Mickey and Friends character meet and greet.

The surrounding CommuniCore Plaza will feature a garden with space to view entertainment from a covered performance stage and seating for nearby festival food and drink kiosks.

World Celebration will open to guests in late 2023, but it remains unclear if CommuniCore Hall will be ready at the same time.

Speaks volumes about your taste, standards, and imagination of what Disney can create today. Enjoy it! #lowbar

When you put it that way, it does sound rather remarkable! Conversation piece landscaping, perhaps?

If you think vaginal planters are absolutely remarkable, god bless.

Then what would have counted as an amazing, creative change when designing an area that can serve for rest and decompression but also provide some space for booths or possibly other things during festivals? If you think anything short of the architectural equivalent of a unicorn dancing into a starburst is not creative enough for that kind of space, I don't think you would have liked the original EPCOT Center which had a very contemporary 1980s vibe.

Personally, I like amazing, creative change and hate terrible change. This is all terrible change.

This is basically how I feel, and I am one of those who gets annoyed when fonts don't look exactly period appropriate! I know the little details matter in terms of theme parks, but this one seems like a "pick your battles" case. It's fine, serves a purpose, and more or less fades into the background. Must say I am mystified to see people nostalgic for the horrible central spine shade structure. Complaining about this and lamenting that being torn down that suggests an aversion to change more than anything.

Look's like Telletubbies 🌱🤣 Kind of ironic the first thing they did was remove the canopy and now the last thing is install the canopy. 😶 Seeing that flex space behind walls I couldn't imagine what they'd do there.. Looks like it's back to some sort of playground area as maybe before it was.

I liked the canopies there, they actually provided a little shade. The canopies directed upwards like they are currently hung won't do much.

*Innoventions Canopy* - Hold my Overpriced Starbucks.

That looks like a very poor design/execution. It doesn't look like it would provide much shade. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now reimagine those to look like the green army men parachutes, and put them up in Toy Story Land…

Any news on the Epcot Dedication Plaque up front? Or is their any word if it will be put inside the plaza rather than outside the entryway??

This is true, admittedly I’m just having a bit of fun.
