Indeed. Camilo only knew of his uncle as a child for whom Bruno would seem to be tall and having an air of mystery and outsized presence.

Could they casting also be related to the return of the Bon Voyage character breakfast? Both Eric and Flynn were at that.

The Gaston meet was definitely one of the highlights of my visits to WDW. At DLR, Bruno is one of the shorter guy characters and it makes him even more approachable I think and less intimidating to any younger kids. (He's been an absolute doll when I met him both last year and this year at Oogie Boogie Bash - really a great character interaction!)

Gaston is the most fun character meet/greet they had. It was jaw-dropping listening to him bust on a friend of mine with his wife and two teen daughters there. Then, when it was my turn, the three of us had a flex off and I had tears flowing from the laughter it brought. Plus, whomever they cast as Gaston could get overtime and double as Brom Bones over in Sleepy Hollow.

I would guess it's a staff shortage as they have been struggling. In the case of Gaston though I would hope they're looking to restore his meet at MK. And of course, I do *hope* that this means more/better characters in general!

I suppose he’s depicted more as 5’5”-5’7” in the movie, so it makes sense. In addition, I’m sure they want the taller characters to be more noticeable.

TouchdownSep 14, 2023

He’s shorter when it’s actually him. He’s only 7ft tall when Camilo has shapeshifted to him.

Please actually be meetable and accessible without dropping an extra hundred (or more) dollars for some kind of special event. I want more characters in general, but Charming and Naveen are the only princes I haven't met yet and I would love to complete that list. Plus Gaston was always fun to meet. Is there a reason to believe this isn't just them being short people for the Christmas party? Is it too late to be looking for that?

Bruno is 5'6" - 5'9". All others are 5'10" - 6'2". Was he 7" in the movie? Would be difficult to find in reality but not impossible. I suppose they wanted him shorter because the other characters are supposed to have great stature. Not Bruno. He's more of a regular dude.

DisneyFanatic12Sep 14, 2023

It is odd, because the 7 foot frame was obviously an exaggeration, but it seems as though he should have been at least 6 foot or so!

DisneyFanatic12Sep 14, 2023

I thought only 8 new characters were being casted!

Didn't realize Bruno was shorter but I guess we don't talk about that.

This thread should be closed because we don't talk about this. ;)
