Posted: Thursday May 20, 2021 9:24am ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

The rather lengthy refurbishment at Casey Jr Splash 'n' Soak Station is continuing in Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom.

The main section is now complete and free from walls.

Work has now moved onto the smaller sections on either side.

The kids splash pad has not operated since the Magic Kingdom reopened from the COVID-19 closure in July 2020 and does not currently have a reopening date.

When my kids were little, they always wanted to play in that water. We never let them since we wanted to "do all the stuffs". Kinda wish I had let them...

I was hoping they would refurb it right over to the Art Of Animation resort...

I'd have better odds of winning an arm-wrestling contest against a giant octopus than keeping my boys away from any kind of water-spraying-thing...they've both been obsessed with swimming and water play since they were infants. (Thankfully they're not kids of the constantly-green-nosed variety.)

Children in diapers (not swim diapers) and my inability as a parent to shield my kids from snotty kids. I have more control at the pool or Blizzard Beach. But these have never been my cup of tea.

It’s not my thing but is that really much different than the pools or water parks being open?

Surprisingly no...though they may have turned down the water effects. But you could walk up to it after the parks re-opened.

I am assuming this has been closed since last summer? Glad they’re painting it, regardless. Things need to look presentable.

hopefully never...

Looks like this started on or around March 29th. Any ideas when it will be completed?
