I live in NY where great steak houses are easy to come by and still Shula's impressed me. This restaurant is expensive but the food and service is absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I didn't think the steak was worth the $$$ Our waiter Alfredo was amazing! The pear martini was the best martini i've ever had. They were out of every dessert we picked so we got the one they had for free. great service but I'd skip the steak.....
Deserves the Signature Dining title - perfect food, great service. You will pay for this: Not for those on a budget.
We made reservations for Friday, December 28 for 6:00 PM for 5 people several weeks in advance. We showed up on time with 5 guests. They walk all 5 of us to a table for 4. We stood there. The hostess said, "oh." A waiter or manager (could not tell) then added a place setting at the end of the table. It was very uncomfortable. The service was slow, bread was served very late, did not get any refills -- like they forgot about us. The restaurant was not at all crowded when we arrived and when we left around 8:00 pm, the restaurant was busier but not full. The food was mediocre. I've had better steaks at Outback and for a lot less money. Oh, and the bill was $300 before tip and with no alcohol at all. I should have said something right when they seated us but I did not want to cause waves (plus we had a guest). In the future, when I receive poor service at such an upscale restaurant, I will speak up politely and firmly. But it will never again be at any Shula's Restaurant. Save your money. Later in the week, we had a wonderful dinner at Jiko's at AKL. We've also enjoyed Le Cellier. Go there instead.
The theming is very close to that of the original Shula's in Miami Lakes - Dolphins football. That's a good thing. But in my opinion that is where the good ends. Don't expect to use your room charge - since it is not at an actual WDW resort you will not be able to. Everything on the menu is a la carte - and a bit pricey for the portions. The wait staff are very attentive. Having dined at the original Shula's a number of times - I found the quality of the food a little lacking. If you have to have a good steak - make reservations at The Yachtsman!
