PHOTOS - Kilimanjaro Safaris new zebra savannah construction

You may remember that back in February 2012 Disney announced that the Little Red story line would be removed from Kilimanjaro, and in its place would be a new zebra savannah.  Work is now fully underway on this project, with all of the poacher sets removed, and ground clearing underway to create the new savannah space.  All of the Wilson radio chatter has also been removed from the ride vehicles.

You can see from these photos below the new area that has been created along the road that previously featured the geysers and the poachers camp.  Even the zebras are out in the park, but not yet in this new space.  If you want to catch a glimpse of their holding area, you can often see them if you look to your left just after you cross the old bridge scene.

The changes are set to be complete by the fall of this year.
