The Tomorrowland Launch Depot is now open at Magic Kingdom, serving as the merchandise headquarters for the new TRON Lightcycle Run attraction.

Taking over the space of the former Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., Launch Depot will also serve as the exit from Space Mountain.

Launch Depot is hard to miss, with the building sitting at the entrance and exit corridor to the TRON area. There are doors at both ends of the building, and along the sides, with window displays highlighting the merchandise.

Inside you'll find all of the merchandise initially sold in the pop-up stores on opening day, with the addition of the TRON Identity Program. You can find out more about that here.

The space is light and airy - a nice upgrade from the former Light & Power Co. that often seemed to be a neglected space selling random Disney merchandise alongside massage chairs and phone chargers.

A made to order area allows you to create custom TRON phone cases, Apple Watch bands, magnets and headphone cases.

Launch Depot is also home to a Fuel Rod charger station.

Not going until the second week of Oct. So still a few weeks out, but trying to get the decisions out of the way. I plan on watching the threads continuously until we get on the plane 😂

Are you going anytime soon? The virtual queue has been pretty good in the mornings recently (and especially in the afternoon 1pm drops). I recommend to always try for the VQ then if you dont like you BG, can always purchase ILL later. If your BG is less than 30, you should have a pretty short wait in the first 2 hours of the park opening. Last 7 days: Including today (9/6):

Whats the average time you spend in line for tron once your boarding group has been called for the VQ vs time in line for ILL? Trying to plan out if it would be better to pay for the ILL at 7am vs trying to get in the VQ at 7am

I don't think their was any hype for Iron after most people had watched the Shanghai videos. Personally I preferred Tron as it felt more physical/real whereas GOTF disappointed me as I just felt like I was watching a movie on a 4D chair.

Wish they'd do, like, a much taller set of billboards with lattice underneath and lighting that mimics the lamps in other areas of Storybook Circus to help block the TRON show building. Something like the below image, but on a larger relative scale.

The thing is that the train looks better as the new replacement and I’m glad the tron one is gone, get that ugly tron poster out from the train, yeah?

Disney own's Simpsons now, so I guess it's not plagiarism.

Clever reference to "Tomorrow!"

The hype never equals the investment But that’s the point…spend 5+ slow rolling “coming soon” when they should be adding/reinvesting on a 1,2,3 year schedule at all times…

Ride Tron last week for the first time. Great ride and a welcome addition to Magic Kingdom but Guardians is still my fav. I don’t see what the 6 years of hype from Disney was for Tron?

I know this reference! :D
