Reopening dates announced for Disney's All Star and Port Orleans Resorts at Walt Disney World

Disney has today announced reopening dates for the final four Walt Disney World resort hotels to return to operation following the COVID-19 closures.

Disney's Port Orleans Riverside will reopen October 14 2021

Disney's All-Star Music Resort for arrivals beginning September 16 2021
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside for arrivals beginning October 14 2021
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter for arrivals beginning October 28 2021
Disney’'s All-Star Sports Resort for arrivals beginning December 9 2021

The French Quarter will reopen for arrivals beginning October 28 2021

This announcement means that all Walt Disney World hotels will be back open by the end of 2021, completing the phased reopening of the resort hotels from the COVID-19 shutdown.

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will reopen with new look rooms for arrivals to begin on July 19

Previously announced resort hotels still to open are Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for arrivals to begin on July 19 and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge on August 26.

We have two kids and have stayed in both Sports and Movies with them. When we stayed in Sports, my youngest was a baby and was in a crib. We rented a full size crib and set it up in front of the window. There was plenty of room. We also had a double stroller and kept it open, parked between the door and bed. When we went back 3 1/2 years later, we had a refurbished room at Movies. We brought a blow up toddler size air mattress for my youngest, now 4. The only place it fit was in front of the door. So every day we had to stand it up and lean it against the window then lay it down and remake it ever night. We also had a single stroller that didn’t fit open in the room so we had to fold it and slide it under the bed every night. So with the two queens, it was definitely a tighter squeeze but it worked.

One of the queen beds is a pull down table/bed combo.

Yes. 2 Queens have already been done at the other values. It's just more narrow between the bathroom wall and the bed and also in between the two beds.

Staying at Sports in September will be interesting to see what the room is like... although I'm not really bothered either way.

Is there even room for queen beds? From what I remember from my stay years ago, the door pretty much opened right up to the bed. I can't imagine that they can fit in queen beds in those rooms.

How about the stars? Ps these are the original comforters with Disney characters playing sports. The ones you show are from the first hard goods in the 2000s

People whine about most of the recent renovations. They should be jumping for joy about this. Half of us would wet ourselves if the themed, starchy ‘90s comforters returned. ~swoons~

Surprised they reopened it with the rooms in such a state. New carpets and pillows isn't enough to cover up the dirty 90s look. The positive side of me hopes it was just due to needing the capacity but realistically its going to have been a "Meh, people will still pay for it" moment.
