The Ron DeSantis-appointed Central Florida Tourism Oversight District now has its very own website.

Since taking over from Disney's Reedy Creek Improvement District earlier this year, CFTOD has been providing updates using the original site.

The new CFTOD is located at, with now redirecting to the new address.

Much of the content remains the same as before, but the site now has the new CFTOD logo and visual style, including a prominent nighttime view of the Disney Springs parking garages with the tagline "The District Never Sleeps."

New Article about the RFP for the operation assessment issued by the district: Twenty-one prospective bidders have filed proposals in response to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District's request for operational assessment proposals. The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District oversees the 39-square-mile governing jurisdiction and special taxing district created in 1968 for Walt Disney World Resort's (NYSE: DIS) land that acts with the same authority and responsibility as a county government. The district’s leadership is seeking a prioritized list of reform strategies with associated action plans for implementation. Orlando-based Fischer Consulting LLC is one of the bidders, and CEO Lance Fischer said in his view, a successful assessment boils down to basics, emphasizing the fundamentals of running and fine-tuning an organization: "a few business principles, good training at every level and communication.” Fischer said he hopes the district decides to keep the opportunity local, given its impact on the community. The four Central Florida bidders are Diane Meiller & Associates, Epic Engineering & Consulting Group LLC, Fischer Consulting and Intintolo Advisors LLC. Also in Central Florida, Brite Hire LLC and Sharity Inc. submitted bids but since have pulled out. CEO Tiffany Hughes of Brite Hire said instead she will focus on the Veterans Small Business and Buy Local Program Outreach & Implementation Services contract. President Carol Wick of Sharity said her firm decided not to move forward for a variety of reasons. The remaining 17 bidders are from other parts of Florida and around the U.S. Central Florida Tourism Oversight District operational assessment bidders: 2Cubed Technologies, Inc 2879 Star Opal Drive, Fairfax, Virginia 22031 Subcontractor [/LIST] 65th North Group LLC 2598 E. Such government districts are created for a variety of reasons, like providing public improvements, community facilities and services.

Interesting. Not sure how they can settle the federal case. The other two should be simple to settle if that's really a goal.

Not really a rumor. Both Disney and the governor have stated this.
