2023 Holiday Experiences Virtual Queues in My Disney Experience

The official Walt Disney World 'My Disney Experience' app has been updated to include Virtual Queues for two holiday experiences.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance during Disney Jollywood Nights and Santa meet and greet at Disney Springs are now visible in the 'My Disney Experience' app and ready to be used later this week.

This update to the app means the Virtual Queue tab in 'My Disney Experience' now features four queues: TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Santa at Disney Springs.

How to use the Virtual Queue to meet Santa at Disney Springs

Santa Virtual Queue in My Disney Experience

Starting November 10, Guests can request to join the virtual queue at 9:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:30 PM, or 7:00 PM once in Disney Springs.

The Santa meet and greet is located inside Once Upon a Toy in the Marketplace at Disney Springs.

A Virtual Queue will return to Star Wars Rise of the Resistance

Guests attending the event can request to join the queue beginning at 8:00 pm. Each guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per event. This is only available for guests on the day of the event they are attending, and their specific event tickets must be linked to their My Disney Experience account in order to join the virtual queue. Guests attending this special ticketed event do not need to be in Disney's Hollywood Studios to request to join at the time the queue becomes available.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance stopped using a Virtual Queue in September 2021 during regular park hours and moved to Individual Lightning Lane purchase and a regular standby line.

Disney Jollywood Nights begins on November 11, 2023, and takes place across ten nights. Find out more about Disney Jollywood Nights.

Not surprised that 12/16 and 12/19 at MK have reached capacity. That is before most APs are blocked out. The Guest Favorite Park Pass System strikes again! I see that Disney has once again returned to making sure that the unfavorable guest mix of unprofitable AP holders doesn't contaminate their P&L statements for December. Most Locals will be locked out for the last half of December anyway, so why not accelerate the process?

Colder weather may be in season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun at the water park! From now until December 31st, you can participate in a scavenger hunt to celebrate the holiday season! The scavenger hunt and prizes can be picked up at the Lost Children’s hut at Blizzard Beach. The prizes consist of multiple different Christmas ornament craft kits to choose from.

All monorails on all three lines were displaying the red and green undercarriage animation that played exclusively on MVMCP nights. Perhaps this animation will continue to play on all nights as the holiday festivities ramp up at Walt Disney World?

Posting this just in case anyone is going this year. We just watched a video of a roaming Christmas Tree at Disney Springs. Be sure to catch it because whoever is voicing it is very funny. It made us laugh out loud.

According to their Facebook, Collective Five (the group performing in Tomorrowland during MVMCP) will also be performing during the day this weekend on Nov 23-25 and again after the final party from Dec 23-31.
