The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will once again host ABC's 'The Chew' for taping 5 special festival shows.

'The Chew' shows, to record October 4-6 against the park’s Spaceship Earth backdrop, will air on the ABC Television Network, October 9-13, 2017, at 1pm EDT.

“It’s our favorite week of the year,” raved Gordon Elliott, executive producer of “The Chew.”

“The hosts enjoy the excitement of the park along with their fans, and for a few days everyone is on holiday–with amazing food!”

Dishes inspired by “The Chew” also will be featured throughout the festival in the themed global marketplace, “Earth Eats, Hosted by The Chew.” Park guests will be able to savor these menu stars: Grilled Beef Skewer with Romaine, Apricots and Feta Cheese; Ricotta and Zucchini Ravioli with Rustic Tomato Sauce and a sweet finish: Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Mousse with Caramel Drizzle.

Epcot vice president Melissa Valiquette said she and the entire festival team are delighted to welcome back “The Chew” hosts, producers and crew for their third year of on-site production.

“’The Chew’s’ production adds another level of excitement and fun to our iconic fall food and wine festival,” Valiquette said. “It’s magical to see our Epcot stage light up as the show’s celebrated hosts cook, dish and entertain each live audience of festival guests.”

Instructions on how to obtain show taping tickets will be announced at a later date. Today also kicks off “The Chew’s” Magical Culinary Adventure Sweepstakes presented by Hidden Valley Ranch. The winner gets a vacation for four to see a “Chew” taping at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. To learn more, visit www.TheChew.com.

Wow I had no idea that was happening!! Hopefully next year.

It was surprisingly good with a nice dose of spice. And is also a great base for the forthcoming drinks.

The L'Orange cotton candy is kinda disappointing. It just tastes like regular cotton candy with a vague citrus aftertaste. Maybe the batch mine came from didn't have enough flavoring, I dunno. Still a lot of cotton candy though. The loaded mac n cheese is killer and pretty filling.

I'm hopeful they will! I'd expect mostly more creative drinks to fit the theme.

For place where glowing illuminated things was the draw, it actually wasn't dark enough... there's a better way to pull that off, but I'm not quite sure what it is... they needed it to be more intimate and romantic, not just a room with some displays and a bar. For the amount of space they had, it should have been a place where you wanted to hang out and enjoy your drink... of course, also having better food and drink options would have helped. BUT, it's the first year for this... perhaps they can make improvements for next year.

It wasn’t necessarily a bad idea, just not well executed.

Light lab was a total waste of space.

I was underwhelmed by the LightLab. Food at all the kiosks was excellent. Wine selections were so so. We found better beer choices, which is okay if I’m going to a beer festival. We were able to eat/drink at 8 kiosks. We go back on the last day and I have a few more kiosks I definitely want to try.

Do you know when the taping is/was?

disneygeek90Sep 25, 2017

I went last night and had the same thoughts. No idea what it's for.

Anyone have an idea what the giant stage set up at the entrance to World Showcase this weekend was for? It was pretty unsightly, I'll be glad to see it gone...

Or it was a Saturday night, so...

We went last night, the amount of drunks there this go around was quite noticeable, whoever said it wasn't a problem isn't really looking hard.
