The 2021 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival gets underway next month, and Disney has today shared a few more details about what we can expect this year.

Global Marketplaces will include fan-favorite dishes from Hawai’i, Australia, Germany, Canada and Greece. New Global Marketplace concepts are coming to Morocco, The American Adventure and throughout the park in July, with more marketplaces opening in the fall. Menus are still to be announced.

Entertainment will feature performances by Voices of Liberty, Mariachi Cobre and Jammin’ Chefs. The festival will also open with America Gardens Bandstand presented by Florida Blue Medicare, a live-music concert series performed Friday through Monday evenings. Local bands from across Central Florida will take to the America Gardens Theatre stage, playing popular songs of yesterday and today.

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt returns, and Emile’s Fromage Montage earns you a prize at Shimmering Sips after sampling 5 dishes from select Marketplaces.

This year's event begins July 15 and runs through to November 20 2021, which is very similar in length to last year's festival.

Sea World is essentially a festival park now, and they market heavily to locals. It's worked out rather well for them. Disney seems to emulating that model with Epcot. As long as the food, beverage, and entertainment options change from festival to festival, it doesn't bother me, especially given that Future World is a shell of its former self and not worth spending much time in, currently.

Yes, exactly! If EVERY day is a festival, then there's really NO festival. It becomes just another routine day at EPCOT.

i wish i could drink those, i love a good daiquiri or margarita but being diabetic im not really supposed to drinking wine either but i can better regulate my sugar. My wish for more wine is purely selfish on my part!

my wife is the same way. i’d recommend the welsh dragon or leaping leprechaun from the rose & crown pub. both are a mix of fruit juices & alcohol, & i’ll admit they’re pretty good.

I like the festivals and some of the kiosks are fun to try. But Wow, the prices have gone through the roof! It used to be $3-4 for a sample. Now some go up to $10... for a sample? hard pass.

The week of July 15th would be a great time for the dining plan to be back. Just saying.

So is this a permanent "name change" or is this like the "taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival"?

Mmmkay. Believe whatever you want. For completeness, the middle day of this year’s festival is 9/18. They are adding these 13 days later. I don’t know what the big deal is. Only 52 days to enjoy them? The 2010 festival only lasted 45 days.

To be fair, you do manage to pull all of the above off fairly well 😉

In previous years when this took place the new booths would open in early September. Which actually makes sense if you wanted to debut something new to keep the local interest since its the halfway point of the festival.

It’s because 10/1 is the start of FY22. Changes routinely occur on 10/1.
