Production of the 2017 Disney Parks Holiday specials gets underway at Walt Disney World tomorrow, and with it comes some changes to the entertainment line-up at three of the parks.

Friday November 3 - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Shooting at the Studios will take place on Sunset Blvd throughout the day, and as a result, showtimes for Beauty and the Beast will be changed. Check times guides for the latest, but likely showtimes are 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 5pm and 6pm.

Saturday November 4 - Disney's Animal Kingdom

At Disney's Animal Kingdom, Winged Encounters, Tree of Life Awakenings, Discovery Island Carnivale, Viva Gaia Street Band!  and Sunset Serenatas will not be available.

Friday November 3 through Tuesday November 7 at the Magic Kingdom

Although shooting takes place November 5 - 7 at the Magic Kingdom, staging and other work will prevent some shows from taking place.

No performance of the welcome show - Let the Magic Begin.

No performance of the welcome show - Let the Magic Begin or Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire.

No performance of the welcome show - Let the Magic Begin, Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party and Once Upon a Time

No performance of the welcome show - Let the Magic Begin, Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, Once Upon a Time.

No performance of the welcome show - Let the Magic Begin, Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, Once Upon a Time.

As always, schedules are subject to change.

Following on from last year's new format, there will be multiple shows, set to air throughout the holiday season, in November and December. Airing dates are still to be announced.

Like last year, no parade will be filmed at Walt Disney World, but stage show performances including musical acts will be filmed in Florida. The parade will be filmed at Disneyland Resort in California.

Tickets will not be made available to guests, with Cast Members filling in the audience as extras. It may be possible to see parts of the filming from guest areas however.

Its really interesting to see how many of these floats have been recycled or are still in their original form still in use.

Maybe the snowglobe was accompanied by one of those serial killer letters with magazine clippings used to spell out "You're going on a cruise with Mickey"

ToTBellHopNov 29, 2017

That was what I watched for lol. Kept skipping the musical acts and feel-good pieces. Granted those feel-good pieces really did involve kids doing amazing things. I would’ve been confused getting a snow globe of the Castle to alert me that I’m getting a free cruise though.

It’s pretty dreadful. Bunch of teenie boppers I don’t recognize, but that’s Disney Channel. Raven’s still there though. She must be about 55 by now. I feel old.

Nah, those artists don't contribute to Disney's bottom line, and that's all that the former-live-Christmas-Parade-turned-90-minute-pre-recorded-infomercial is about these days.

Shooting is what I see as breaking news every third day on CNN. I am happy with filming.
