The 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is shaping up to be much more like business as usual, with more entertainment expected to return.

Disney recently confirmed that the Candlelight Processional would return for 2021, and it now seems the festival will also see the return of the Holiday Storytellers.

A recent casting call went out from Disney Live Entertainment looking for Equity performers to play the roles of the Holiday Storytellers in each of the World Showcase countries.

The characters tell holiday stories and traditions and have been part of the EPCOT holiday season for many years.

Both the Candlelight Processional and Holiday Storytellers were missing from EPCOT during 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I didn't mean to say that the acts wouldn't be available (although, some wouldn't), but whether a venue would be available to make booking those acts worthwhile. The surge began the beginning of July. The deaths followed. It would've been criminal to pack in a crowd into a stadium... ...or a hub for fireworks.

Blair Underwood? Looks like I need to plan a trip asap!

Taylor Dane had on her website that she was going to be at EPCOT in October so I think that they had been planning it but must have changed their minds. And many of those acts are not out there touring regularly.

I get what you're saying, but there's just no way sugar ray is busy 5 weeks out 😂

At the time that Disney would have booked talent, FL was under a giant COVID wave and venues had reduced capacity and it was unknown when it would be over.

I am a bit upset that they are bringing this back but did not bring the special events for the food and wine festival back, or the eat to the beat concerts.

Will be interesting to see what happens after OUACT. Could be possible FoF is deliberately on hold until Spring, if so hopefully with some changes. The 50th can definitely use some help.

Sorry, would you settle for Olivia Rodrigo instead? I hear she's getting her own rollercoaster in HS !

With 4 restaurants that ADR time in the morning is going to be brutal. Kind of makes it rough when you've already your park reservations, and ADR's for those days. I'm going the week after Thanksgiving and my 60 Day window has come and gone!!!

Yes. We’ve always done the lunch package for Biergarten because it was cheaper and we preferred the early show. Only 4 restaurants doing just dinner packages . . . those are going to sell out fast.
