The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers coming to Disney's BoardWalk at Walt Disney World looks likely to miss its 2023 opening.

The official Cake Bake Shop website has been updated to remove mention of opening in 2023.

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, will be replacing the ESPN Club, which closed as Walt Disney World shutdown during the pandemic.

Disney says, "The Cake Bake Shop will bring exquisite dining, delicious Afternoon Tea, delectable desserts, marvelous champagne and fanciful cocktails for an extraordinary and whimsical experience."

Seems like a no brainer to me. I don’t see why they wouldn’t bring this back, it allows them to charge nearly $20+ more a head for breakfast.

I think it's pretty likely Asha was going to 1900 Park Place but the box office results shifted to Mirabel. The whole "wish" premise is totally in her wheelhouse. They made a point not to include Ariel and Rapunzel as the backup option to Asha, which makes it more likely they would bring those characters back to Trat.

Now I'm worried that, if Bon Voyage Breakfast ever shows up again, they'll have a new character lineup there, too. This was the only place to meet Flynn or Eric and I want them back or at least someone exclusive.

New signs installed at Trattoria al Forno. Any word on the character breakfast? Also, work has SLOWED at the corn dogs hut.

As evidenced by CityWorks popularity in DS.

The one at Disneyland was huge... This was like a mini version... It would have been more popular had they built it at Disney Springs...

ESPN Zone was a chain run by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. The ESPN Club was sort of a prototype for the concept.

Oh.... Never realized it was a chain. Thought it was owned by WDW...

You would think they would at the least get the roof systems completed and the walls finished and sealed...especially since they are hiring. I know they had to build an off-site bakery to support the restaurant. Are they opening another location in the greater Orlando area as well? Because if not, why would they be hiring so soon before completion?

There is a ladder on premises so that's something.

It never reopened after Covid, but the chain had already failed.
