Epcot's currently under construction space-themed restaurant has an official name - Space 220, and will be one of the new additions to the new 'World Discovery' neighborhood of Epcot.

Space 220 will be a culinary experience featuring the celestial panorama of a space station, including daytime and nighttime views of Earth from 220 miles up.

You’ll board a special elevator for a journey to a space station, and along the way, viewports will give you a real-time perspective as you travel high above the planet.

Opening this winter and operated by Patina Restaurant Group, the Space 220 will offer internationally-inspired cuisine courtesy of Executive Chef Theo Schoenegger. More than 1000 bottles of wine and craft beer will be available. Schoenegger has recently been the Executive Chef of new Italian concepts Maria & Enzo's Ristorante and Enzo's Hideaway Tunnel Bar at Disney Springs.

At EXPO 86 in Vancouver, Canada, Seagrams was the corporate sponsor for the Fair's VIP club (a contractual requirement for every fair), which they named the "Canadian Club" (and they used the same script as the eponymous whiskey). There was a rumor (unfounded, alas) that one room would be named the "Nanaimo Bar" (Nanaimo is a town in BC and the Nanaimo Bar is a sweet baked BC delicacy).

It effin' figures! Our trip is 24Apr-1May. I feel like the dude that decides to wash his car in a 10 year drought and the next day a hurricane hits.
