TRON Lightcycle Run construction - June 15 2021

Here is a quick look at the latest happenings at the TRON Lightcycle Run construction site in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland.

The good news is that the opening where the track passes through the building is now fully opened up and surrounding by scaffolding.

Although progress is slow, it does appear that with this move construction is continuing and the building won't be left sealed up for a length period as previously feared.

Elsewhere on the canopy, crews are installing safety netting around the structure that will help with the installation of the canopy coverings.

Touch ups also continue on the  canopy where the support structures were removed.

And finally here is a view of TRON from the PeopleMover.

Ha! Sounds like too many engineers/architects with zero real-world construction experience.

A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat.

I wasn't sure if you were joking. Such is the nature of writing, vs speaking in person. We lose so much nuance.

true. Guess I'm going to have to work on my jokes. That one didn't connect AT ALL... Doing brakes currently on one of my antique cars. You wouldn't believe the amount of rust that caused me to replace parts on!

Incomudro5 days ago

That's only surface rust, it happens to rail tracks, the disc brakes on cars... It'll scrape right off as soon as the train is run.

That is the coaster building.

Wow. The rust on the rails looks pretty bad. Not sure they'll last as long as the RR ties!
