Disney has today announced that a both the Walt Disney World Railroad and The Tomorrowland Speedway will be interrupted during the construction of the new TRON coaster at the Magic Kingdom.

The Walt Disney World Railroad will temporarily take up residence at the Main Street Station starting in December 2018, pausing its grand-circle tours of Magic Kingdom Park. During this time, you will be able to get an up-close look at the railroad and take advantage of one-of-a-kind photo opportunities.

The Tomorrowland Speedway will close for a portion of 2019, as the attraction’s track is adjusted. It will reopen as the same attraction in the summer of 2019.

Worse than that. It's actually embedded into the concrete structure of the Utilidors. Replacing the speaker would mean having to tear out the entire utilidors system, aka, rebuilding most of the park. ;)

They would have to demolish the entirety of MSUSA to repair the speaker. It’s built into the structure of the entire land. But, there is a B-mode where the CM just screams at everyone to sit down and watch their bratty kids.

I know and I wish they could fix it up right NOW! 😠

It hasn’t been working since it reopened.

Did anyone at the park notice the station announcement at Main Street Station is not working properly? Here's the proof (it's not my video):

And Josh’s reign. He always gets off easy.

Not sure how much more wrong you could be. But... you still tried. And succeeded.

More generous than they are with MNSSHP-exclusives. If the lines are going to be long, it’s nice to have ride overlays and the (IMHO) stellar Christmas fireworks that week. We will see if DHS can afford to show JBJB for the poors spending about $200 on a day ticket on 12/26.

How generous of them!

It’s on every night of Christmas week, too.

And only turned on for those coughing up the money for MVMCP

I do love how ours looks at night this time of year. Its Christmas Party lighting package is a lot of fun.

I don't mind it being there if it were just up to the old Disney standards...the Hong Kong version had a lot of unusual landscaping and a few set pieces...the California version which has undergone changes over the years has a few set pieces and had an overhaul a long while back....the only overhaul ours has gotten was to make the track shorter... If they are going to keep it, make it fit in with Tomorrowland the way California did... More futuristic, more setting...I remember back in the 70s they had sound effects that I think are long gone... I would even be happy with a Sugar Rush re-do...with new cars, and a complete thematic package....
